Relaxed Environment!!

This is a nice lodge next to the beach with a very relaxed environment. The host and their helper "Sethu" are extremely well mannered. The swimming pool and garden is very well maintained. For a long term, budget stay.. this place is the best.

Served our purpose

We were booked into this guest house by booking.com last minute because the previous place we had booked had to close down before the holidays for some reason. We did not have time to look around for a second choice, so we did not know what we were getting into. However, when we arrived at Mount Villa, we were pleasantly surprised how practical the guesthouse was for our purposes.
The villa itself consisted of several rooms and our room was rather compact, but had a place for everything. It was clean, everything functioned and Wi-Fi was reliable.
There was a nice swimming pool and a green front yard that had space for parking.
Breakfast was included in the price and it was served in an airy dining area.
The best thing about the little villa was that it was very close to the beach where there were quite a few beachfront restaurants.
The hosts and the assistants were very friendly and helpful.
We were happy to have landed at Mount Villa.

Such an AMAZING service!

Everything was just as it should have been, when we visited Mount Villa (though the tuk tuk driver had a bit of a problem finding it )
But I would at ANY time recommend this lovely little hotel to anyone - especially small families I think would enjoy

Close to the beach, super friendly staff

We stayed one night at this villa and we really enjoyed it. There is a swimming pool in the garden which is perfect for late night drink :-) Owner is exceptionally kind and nice guy who told us lots of interesting stories! I really recommend this hotel!

Comfortable guest house in a nice location with great service

The room was simple but big with a comfortable bed. We liked the location in a neighborhood with friendly people, only a short walk over the railroad tracks to the beach and restaurants as well as to Galle road to catch a took tuk and shops. The people were super friendly and attentive and the place was perfectly clean. We had a nice breakfast in the breezy dining area with a nice view on a large frangipani tree. We did not use the pool but it was nice to sit there in the afternoon. Great value!
