A great hotel on trip near Vibrant bit of night life. Comparatively sparse breakfast to others the only downfall
The pool was right at the front so I didn’t use as think I’d have felt I was in a goldfish bowl. Good shower facilities though.Seemed busy with backpackers. Well organised. Breakfast somewhat disappointing. But all else good. Ella Great little stop off to let your hair down. Get to chilli for the night life. For sea this as becoming a busy modernised little tourist spot,

Not bad
No elevators so it wasn’t easy to lug the luggage up and down.
Negatives were we could not work out how to turn the display off on the air conditioner, thus the room was lit up all night.
At breakfast all we were asked was American or English. We answered English not knowing what they meant. Figured it out but unsure why we weren’t given a menu or offered the Sri Lankan meal (which looked good!)
Pool looked inviting but didn’t get a chance for a swim.

Nightmare!!!!!!!!!!
We stayed at this hotel for one night only. The room itself was clean, but we could not have imagined how terrible the overall experience would be.
This is a cheap hotel that attracts a very poor crowd. Our room was located above the pool on the first floor, with paper-thin walls and ceiling. Every door slammed anywhere in the hotel sounded as if it was inside our room. Guests were shouting in the corridors late into the night, making it impossible to fall asleep.
Then came the worst part:
Around midnight, a group of teenage tourists, drunk and foul-smelling, started making extreme noise on the floor above us — until 2 a.m. Completely unbearable.
At 4 a.m., they moved to sit by the pool directly under our window, screaming and shouting. It became a continuous nightmare.
The management did not care at all. No one intervened. At 5 a.m., we told the receptionist that we would call the police if the noisy group was not dispersed. Her response was:
“Take a sleeping pill.”
Are you serious???
Hospitality is a profession — not a joke.
If the hotel management is unable or unwilling to ensure basic peace and quiet for paying guests, they do not deserve your money.
Stay away. Shameful.
