Perfect for our first night stay

The location was great. Centre of the Ella strip. Owner was welcoming.
From the outside looking in, you’d be a bit skeptical because of construction works on the front, however was the best stay for our first night.
Brilliant double room, clean and comfy beds. Worth the money!

Not very good!

Unfortunately I can’t recommend this hotel. We stayed 2 nights. The rooms are totally different on websites. A renovation is needed. The building was under construction when we arrived and we were a bit shocked and scared. The staff though was truly kind. Tüzde at the reception helped us with an extra bed since the bed for 2 people was very very small. The room was not clean and the curtains were really dirty. The price was not low at all but in Ella the most of the hotels are expensive.

Warm Welcome & Great Value at 49 Ella

We stayed at 49 Ella and had a great experience. Despite reaching at 3 AM due to a delayed departure from Colombo, the hotel honored our booking without any advance payment — a gesture we truly appreciated. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and overall, it was a great value-for-money stay. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Ella!

Terribly horrible and smelly

Let’s start by saying that the elevator that takes you to the various floors, smells like hell and is filthy.
The smelly room (bad to say but the smell reminded me of chemical baths), wet bed, dirty bathroom.
Really terrible experience.
The only positive note goes to the location, very convenient.

Friendly Hotel

It was a amazing stay in Ella, place is very clean and they have very friendly and staff. Food serving very fresh and hot, restaurants looks very nice with the street view and I like the area with pool table . We will be there for our next tour agin
