great quiet place to stay in Kalutara

This home stay/hotel was very peaceful and the owner/manager very friendly and kind. We stayed here a month and were very happy with the accommadations. The rooms were private and quiet, kitchen access was provided, and all our needs met with kindness and alacrity. The setting is very private - surrounded with jungle and beautiful birds. Monitor lizards came to call and often monkeys were seen in the trees. The setting is away from the city center but still close enough for convenient access to stores, restaurants, and beaches. We loved it here and highly recommend this lodging for those seeking a quiet, private home setting for their needs.

Amazing stay so far at such a nominal price

The experience at Muthu Villa is just wonderful. I extended my stay because the place was just like home to me. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the property owner (the host - Sampath) was amazing. He went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kaluthara. The service was exceptional. I would surely choose it again next time I visit Kaluthara. Great value for the money. No matter what time of day or night, you could turn to the villa owner with all your concerns. I highly recommend this.
