Perfect combination of a host who is also a tuktuk driver!

When you are sleeping in the city centre of kandy, it is always a hussle to find nice tuktuk drivers for good prices. Thats why this place is so perfect, the host has its own tuktuk and can show you all the nice places Kandy has to offer. A quick call and he was there ready to pick us up. Overall very pleasant few days, thank you!

I get what I expected

I stayed at the all female dorm (6 beds). There is no mosquito net or curtains, no light or plugs near the beds, no lockers, no AC only a very loud fan. Mattress is really thin. But the location is very good (15 mins walking from the station), nice view and nice terrace, tea, friendly and nice hosts (they are a family), and I had a good night sleep. It's not a party hostel, they close the terrace at 10pm, and also no wifi from 10-12 at the evening, so basically everybody went to sleep early.

Best place to wake up in Kandy

Air con rooms, all necessary facilities. Hosts were so kind, outgoing and friendly and made it stay enjoyable.
Gorgeous view from their balcony that we really enjoyed at breakfast time. Luckily we had Rex (their really playful, and very funny dog) to fend off the monkeys who were after our breakfast. Brekky not included in price but worth every penny ($3) and just has to be requested the night before.
It's a steep walk up the hill, but worth it to be able to have breakfast there.
About 10 min stroll into middle of Kandy. Tuck tuck price should be 200lkr from train station.
Location felt like we were in the locals area rather than tourist beat which was nice.

Good atmosphere

The Place was at a little high altitude. That's the only drawback, apart from that the place is simply awesome. The owner of the property is very friendly to his guest and his very helpful. Most attractions in kandy are near to this hostel.

The perfect accommodation!

Very good experience with this lovely family. We sleep in their house, it's very clean. They are really thoughtful and helpful for giving us tips. We highly recommend them if you want to share with the locals.
