Felt right at home

This villa is a great little gem for anyone staying in Kandy.
The room we had was simple and comfortable with a big bathroom. Our balcony view was stunning.
The host was extremely friendly and cooked us a lovely dinner on our first night there and a great breakfast too outside. He helped with organising any taxis we needed whilst there too.
Overall a lovely stay and would recommend to anyone visiting.

Excellent!

If you are looking for a place to stay in Kandy I can hardly imagine there is a better place than Villa Nuova. The villa is beautiful, clean and spacious with a beautiful garden where you can relax. It is located a little bit outside the centre of Kandy in a quiet area. The breakfast and the Italian dinner we had were very good. Also Alwis and his staff are very friendly and they help you in arranging trips, transportation etc. We also had a good time with the driver Thara who took us around in Kandy and some other places in the neighbourhood.
We couldn’t find anything to complain about so would absolutely recommend this place!

Amazing visit!

We are a large family group from 4yr old to 70yrs. We had the suite of three rooms (with its own lounge area) on the top floor. Mr Alwis was an amazing host. He went out of his way to make our stay perfect. Train station transfers, directions, tourism services - none at 'rip off' prices. Mr Alwis made sure we were comfortable and he and his family were perfect hosts. The breakfast on the terrace was amazing and the rooms were immaculately clean. A short tuktuk ride away from the city but in a quiet location.

Excellent family run hotel

A really amazing family-run hotel in a beautiful location.The food (Sri Lankan or Italian) was excellent. Afternoon tea in the garden was a very special treat. Although it is a 300 rupee tu tuk ride from Kandy centre, the peaceful location is preferable to the hustle and bustle of central Kandy.

Fantastic

Stayed for 1 night and we were very happy. Very clean and quiet and superb hosts. The front lawn is lovely for breakfast or an afternoon cup of tea. Kandy is a fascinating city and a great stepping off point for the highlands.
