Wonderful experience

What a wonderful little gem of a restaurant. Situated directly across from Ocean, day or evening is a delight. Small, simple and delicious menu. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.
If you're interested in tea, they have a fabulous selection and happy to impart their wisdom. I left buying four tasty types of tea and plan on going back for more.
Enjoy.

Not a good restaurant

It was an awful experience. We came as a group and ordered 6 pizzas and some chicken. We wanted to start with some drinks and we had to call out for them twice and than they came to tell us that they didnt have what we ordered. Than we asked for another and we saw them driving somewhere else to buy them and went 3 or 4 times to buy something. We had to wait for 2 hours to get the food and only to pizzas at the same time.

We are a small kitchen operation and a large group could have created a bottleneck to our kitchen and the bar. Highly recommended!

VUBU is honestly the best fire kitchen experience on the island. The food is incredibly smooth, full of flavour, and has that authentic Sri Lankan touch that you can’t find everywhere. Portion sizes are perfect, prices are super reasonable, and the quality is consistent every time. The staff are genuinely friendly and make you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in.
Highly recommended — VUBU is a must-try spot! ️

Its was like a second home

This place has all the magical things at a sweet small space , cant express with words , the food is just like home , the rooms are neat and clean and the best part is infornt of this location its directly the sea it was a great experience and also the couple who are the owners they are extreamly sweet a perfect example for "the hearts of southern people " you dont need to think twice to stay at this place highly recommended for couples and backpackers

Great place, great location

Initially we only palmed to stay at VUBU for one night. Upon arrival it was clear we would need to stay longer.
The breakfast was fantastic and the staff all willing to help in anyway possible - even to the extent of driving into town to pick up groceries if they had no stock of what was ordered!
Highly recommend for couples, backpackers!
