Feels like home
Fenix Inn is close to Lund Tekniska Högskola and Lund University, thus a good hotel if you're visiting students in Lund. Our room was very clean and fresh. It gives one a feeling of home. The breakfast is simple but it includes everything a good breakfast needs including eggs and toast. Good structure of check-in and picking up key via small boxes opened by personal codes so you can arrive whenever you want. Very friendly hosts. Room is spacious for 2 with a little sofa corner. Bed is good, comfortable and extra pillows provided.Refrigerator and free wifi provided. Toiletries available in a very clean bathroom. Gasoline station , restaurants and big shopping area just 2 minutes drive away.

Negative experience.
The experience at this hotel was not pleasant for the following reasons:
- It is very far from the center, in an industrial area and not very close to the bus stop.
- It is next to a main road, so there is a lot of traffic noise at night. I requested a change of bedroom but they replied that for the change to be possible I had to pay an extra €30 per night.
- The reception is always closed.
I do not recommend at all.

Very good value, but traffic noise can be an issue
We have stayed twice in this place in the last couple of months, and had very different experiences depending on the room we stayed in.
Basically, if you get a room away from the highway (i.e. a room facing east), it's a great place to stay on a low budget. Rooms are much bigger than at comparable hotels (and include a fridge) and clean, the place is very new, the decor is basic but functional, and the personelle friendly (if you meet them - they have now switched to a self-checkin model, so after 15:00 the reception is not staffed, but you can find your room key in a safe using your booking number as access code).
If you get a room towards the highway, there is lots of traffic noise, so depending on how sensitive you are, this could make for a very bad night. Also, during the week we got woken up at 5:30 by a truck being loaded outside our window, as the hotel is in a industrial district.
An ICA supermarket, gas station and a MAX fast food restaurant is within 3 minutes driving time. Breakfast is basic but sufficient.
Overall I would prefer this place over other budget hotels in the area - but only since I am not a very sensitive sleeper.

Rent och prisvärt
Hotellet ligger i ett industriområde, med baksidan mot en större väg med mkt trafik. Trots den mindre smickrande omgivningen var vårt rum stort, välisolerat (med stängda fönster hörde inte vi trafiken alls) och väldigt rent, vi sov gott. Vi åt inte frukost på hotellet.

Rent, fint, väl värt
Bodde i dubbelrum som vette ut mot stora vägen. Med stängt fönster gick det att sova utan problem. Ljusa, superfräscha rum. Kylskåp på rummet. Finns tvättmöjligheter och gemensamt kök längst bort i korridoren. Gratis parkeringar. Ligger typ i ett industriområde, men cykelavstånd in till Lund, eller en promenad bort. Finns dock inget här, utom industri. Jättefint badrum med dusch. Enkel incheckning med kod till nyckel, man behöver inte passa tider. Det finns en hndikapphiss till våningen med alla rum. Jättefin frukost. Något för alla. Det som lämnar den finaste känslan kvar i en när man lämnar är bemötandet. Alla kontakter har varit vänliga. Man möts av en genuin hjälpsamhet. De är mycket trevliga och tillmötesgående. Rekommenderas!
