A must if your in Lund!

Always the best service. Excellent selection of bevereges and wine. Great food as well. Location in Lund old town city center is perfect. Great atmosphere any time of the year. Friendly and proffessional staff. A must if you visit Lund. A dont miss.

Noise is a dealbreaker

Stayed at this property for a brief night while through Sweden. We arrived in the evening and spend a couple hours exploring the old town area around the hotel, which we enjoyed. There is close proximity to multiple restaurants. The hotel itself is an older property. The bed was hard. The property is not air-conditioned, so our only option was to leave windows open at night as it was stuffy. We were in a front tower room. The noise with the windows open was unbelievably loud. This is a small town, and we were very surprised by the amount of shouting, yelling, and carrying on until 2am. The noise started up again with loud trucks by 5am. There are also trains arriving and going throughout the night. While the older property is atmospheric, I do not think it was worth putting up with that amount of noise for the night. Perhaps a room to the back of the hotel would be more quiet. The bathroom was quite small. We also found that some of the outlets in the room did not work. The breakfast buffet was nice. It has a certain grand old hotel charm, but overall, cannot recommend because of the noise we experienced.

A Grand stay — with a few reservations

We stayed one night at the Grand Hotel in Lund, from Saturday to Sunday. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, although there were a few things that could have been better.
The hotel hosts parties and events, and there was a birthday celebration on our floor during our stay. The party itself wasn’t particularly disruptive, but it became quite noisy when the guests left the ballroom. I couldn’t help wondering why we hadn’t simply been given a room on a different floor. As it was a Saturday night in the summer, there was also some noise from people out on the street, although that is of course somewhat to be expected given the hotel’s central location.
One other downside was the bathroom, which was very small.
On the positive side, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was beautifully decorated, and the food was excellent. The breakfast the following morning was another highlight — genuinely one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had.
All in all, the Grand Hotel has a lot to recommend it, particularly the food and atmosphere, but a quieter room would have made our stay considerably more enjoyable.
