A Charming Gem in the Heart of Malmö

Home Hotel Temperance in Malmö, part of the Strawberry hotel chain, was such a lovely and memorable stay. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the character, class and charm of this beautiful hotel.
The atmosphere is what really makes this place special. There’s something wonderfully cosy and relaxed about simply sitting in the bar, enjoying the vibe, or taking a little time out for fika. These are the kind of precious moments that make a trip memorable.
We loved the freshly baked breads and the fact that the food is freshly prepared. The breakfast and dinner selection is somewhat limited, but what they do serve feels fresh, homemade and thoughtfully prepared.
The ambience throughout the hotel is fantastic, and we loved the little personal touches — even having a radio waiting for you in the room was such a charming detail.
And the location couldn’t be better. The hotel is right in the heart of Malmö, close to Lilla Torg, surrounded by the beautiful streets, restaurants and energy of the city.
It was a little on the pricier side during peak season, especially with its central location, but it was worth it. A truly charming hotel with a wonderful soul. ❤️

Cosy Home Hotel Temperance

Lovely room with a balcony in Old Malmø.
I would highly recommend the afternoon light swedish fika and eveningmeal.

Central hotel with personal touch

The hotel is very centrally located in Malmö. Close to shopping, restaurants and experiences. Personal touch as the hotel is not so big.

Great location and meals included

Great location, within 15min walk of every major site in Malmö. 10min walk from the train station so easy to get to/from airport or daytrips to Lund, Ystad etc.
Room was quite small but perfectly fine for one person. There was a kettle, and iron and in the bathroom the shower had the choice of regular showerhead or rainfall. A minifridge would have made it even better.
Breakfast was very good with lots of choice (pics attached) for all dietary requirements. Fika was a piece of cake and hot drink at 3pm. Dinner was completely possible as full dinner so long as you eat meat or are happy with soup and salad (pic attached). I stayed for a week and only one day was the hot main fish, otherwise chicken or pork. The soup was always vegetarian, and lots of salad options too. I've stayed in Home Hotel in Bergen and they did better at including veggie options as hot main. Appreciate the food though as Swedish eating out prices are crazy, so this helps a lot.
Staff are lovely and friendly.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.
