The location of this hotel is a stone’s throw away from the main train station and is a transport hub. So it is very convenient. The room is large and very oddly has an exercise bike in it. The bathroom is very basic. The weirdest thing was the door to the room opens out which made me feel a little insecure (in case of an unauthorized entry). There is no fridge in the room. However the staff are absolutely lovely and helpful. This includes the receptionists as well as those serving breakfast. Five stars for their service!

I simply loved my room, it was perfectly clean and organized. I also liked very much how you can see on the way to your room diverse memories of the hotel history; like old phones used back then; pictures and menus of weddings taking place at the hotel since more than 100 years, pictures of the founders; like a small museum, very very nice. Highly recommended.

Very convenient location. Easy to take public transportation from airport to hotel via SBB Basel train station.
Friendly staff and quick check in process.
Nice buffet breakfast. Loved the tables in the dining nook area with glass windows surrounding the room. Nice breakfast selection.

I highly recommend this Hotel in Basel! Hotel is right outside of Basil Central train station (2min walk with a large suitcase) super convenient with multiple tram stops & 2 supermarkets within one minute distance. Excellent customer service - I wanted to thank Carole and Thomas for their warm, friendly & attentive service. I stayed in the newly renovated business villa, the room was spacious & clean with hard wood flooring, bathroom at a window with huge shower both and sink counter. Hotel has a restaurant and a small car but I don’t eat breakfast nor drink, so I didn’t try it. Lots but not least the room cost is reasonable.

Front desk staff very helpful, room traditional style but I like it, bgood breakfast with good service.
