Pleasure, culture and nature; my oasis of well-being

Once again I was allowed to be pampered at the Schlosshotel Wartegg.
Welcoming, gastronomy, design of the rooms and gardens; here everything is just right for me.

Wonderful dinner, crazy charm

Beautiful park, kindness to the appointment... and simply exceptional meal. No air conditioning but managed it with the window open in the evening.
Wifi very weak.

Soulless and unexceptional.

Weirdly soulless; stayed one night for the opera festival on the lake, and expected it to be much busier, but very quiet for a Saturday night. Exterior is traditional schloss, interior modernized but a bit sterile. Lacked any sort of character. Lovely view of the lake from the room, which was clean and comfortable. Shower room a bit small. Breakfast quite underwhelming, with no staff and not a huge choice. Could have been a knockout; instead simply meh.

Thank you very much for your review. I am naturally very saddened by this low rating, but I am sure that there are still some good souls hiding in the castle! :-) The castle is deliberately sparsely furnished, but decorated with lots of flowers from the castle garden. For breakfast, we make sure to use the best quality products from regional organic farms. From honey to cheese, all products are handmade, many of them from our own castle kitchen. This morning, two service staff were also assigned to breakfast.
