Wonderful Stay
Great location opposite bus station,
Staff only speak basic English - but they are friendly and helpful.
Not for the reduced mobility - you need to walk up steps to reach each floor, pretty sure I didn't see a lift.

La Place - the Hotel we stayed during our visit to the Kinsmen Island, Taiwan.
It is a 3 star hotel but well kept, clean bed and bathroom- only negative point is that it has no elevator to the rooms on the 4 storey building.
Staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful !
Very convenient to take the Bus Tour at the Jincheng Bus Terminal plus visit the many interesting shops at the township.

Cool design, functional, clean & friendly
Rooms are on the smaller side, but still offer good value for money. Very clean.
Breakfast was simple, toast/congee with some toppings, fruit and juice/coffee/milk.
Would absolutely stay again. Great little hotel on a great little island.

I'm certainly going to miss La Place and Kinmen
We were given room 313 which had a great view of the street. Our modern, twin-bedded room was very clean and comfortable. It had a really "Ikea' feel given that the owner had scouted some of the furnishings from the retail giant.
Our bathroom was spacious and the water pressure was good. In room amenities such as tea bags and TV were provided. There were no in-room safe but given that security was never a problem in Kinmen, we felt absolutely safe during our stay. However, we noticed that there was no in-room heating. This was a minor issue when temperatures started to hover around 8 degrees towards the end of our stay.
Breakfast was served in the morning at 730am. Ann, the owner of the homestay made it a point to provide different varieties during the 4 nights when we stayed there. We enjoyed talking with her as she shared with us her life experiences as well as some of the Kinmen sights that were not listed in the tourist literature.
This was a no frills homestay that made us feel very welcome when we visited. We enjoyed our vacation in Kinmen and hope to have the chance to visit the island again someday. Thank you La Place and Ann for her great hospitality as well as Kinmen for the great memories. I've started to miss the place.
