First trip in Vietnam
We had such a great time here! This was our first trip to Vietnam, and we really enjoyed it.
The morning yoga class was a lovely experience, and Thuy was an amazing yoga teacher. We also joined Thao’s Vietnamese class, which was really fun.
My kids loved playing in the pool and at the beach, and they had so much fun at the Kids’ Club. There were lots of activities for children, and they really liked Thao and Thuy.
We hope to come back again one day!

Outstanding
Very good atmosphere and a relaxing beachfront location. It was a meaningful experience in Hoi An and I truly enjoyed the delicious Vietnamese food. Joie at Concierge was outstanding, very friendly and took great care of me throughout my stay. She was always willing to offer assistance whenever I needed it, which made my experience even more memorable

Great hotel with excellent staff
Pullman was such a great stay. The room, food and facilities were awesome. Special mention to Jaymie, who made the trip very special with her world class service and consideration for my family.

More like a hotel than a resort
Locationally, the Pullman sits well placed on the Da Nang Beach strip in front of a great part of the beach and at the same time close to town and outside restaurants.
Pricing wise, the Pullman sits modestly high on value. It’s clean, modern and everything is in working order. The rooms are well appointed and actually very comfortable.
Service wise, we had some great experiences with members of staff who made us feel welcome. A great example was Jenny, the F&B Manager who helped us secure some tickets to the fireworks festival that was on, she and some others like her helped to make our stay enjoyable.
Our check in on the other hand was a very disappointing experience- whomever that member of staff was may need some further training. Aside from it being a 30 minute test of endurance, being told more what we could not do with our package, there was no quarter for our in excess of 3 month request for adjoining rooms with our kids - the youngest of which is 12. That said, after adding another 15 minutes of engagement, with the manager we were allocated adjoijing rooms.
The challenge for me for this place is that its atmosphere and feel is more like a hotel than a resort. It almost feels intentional as we went in to other places around Da Nang and found the vibe we were looking for eg Furama and Hyatt. It’s really that element that was missed from our stay. A little more music, perhaps a live singer/ performer once in our stay, something to showcase the culture of the area would have been great. Likewise the furnishings from the lobby bar to the pool area are minimal, and mostly uncomfortable. The pool bar area pretty much screams, “please don’t really come here and if you do, don’t stay for long”.
I don’t usually write such long reviews, I guess it’s because I wanted to like this place, as I say most of the staff were amazing and the price was compelling. Perhaps if it was not pitched as a 4.5 star ‘resort’ and if management were to think a little more about its guests, it would have felt like a much better stay. In other words it may have more to do with my expectations so I wouldn’t rule the Pullman out.
