When it comes to booking flights, all days are not equal.
On average, Skyscanner affiliates see the highest commissions generated on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Weekends are generally the quietest time for flight bookings, whereas mid and late week earnings are typically somewhere in between.
Skyscanner also sees interesting user patterns depending on the time of day. We recently reported on how daily user behaviour differs depending on the user country.
Whilst Irish, Dutch and French users show similar behaviour to the British, visits from Spanish users undergo a lull from 2pm to 4pm – reflecting the siesta period. Visits then increase upon their return to the office at around 6pm.
German users on the other hand show a remarkably stable visitor pattern, with a steady rate of visits to the site throughout the day from 10am to 8pm.
