Petrol stations near Bahrain Airport
Depending on your car rental agreement, you may need to hand your car back with a full tank.
Luckily there is a Muharraq petrol station located just 7 minutes drive from Bahrain Airport. Take the 2403 road from the airport and take a right on to Arad Highway. Take the fourth exit onto Airport Avenue taking a slight right on to Avenue 20. The petrol station will be on the left hand side.
Driving around Bahrain Airport
Bahrain Airport is well connected to the region’s main roads. The 26km King Fahd Causeway connects Bahrain to Saudi Arabia. The border post is on an island in the middle of the causeway. There is a toll for using this border which costs 2 BD from Bahrain and 20 SAR from Saudi. There are no tolls leaving the causeway. However, note that rental vehicles are usually not permitted to cross the border – special insurance and paperwork must be obtained.

It takes just 12 minutes to reach Muharraq Island from Bahrain Airport. Head southwest onto road 2403, then take the first exit to Muharraq Island.

Manama is just 20 minutes by car from Bahrain Airport. From the airport take road 2403 towards the Arad Highway. Merge with Al Gous Highway then get on to Al Fatih Highway. Get on to 2762 and follow this to Manama.
