Retro Chic
Located in the heart of Aarhus, which makes it easy to visit the whole city and the restaurants on foot.
A big thank you to the entire staff, who are extremely helpful, attentive, and always available to make the stay pleasant.
A historic establishment full of charm that I highly recommend for a stopover in Aarhus!

Best hotel in town
Good bed!
The breakfast buffet was a little overwhelming, but really delicious.

1. The location was excellent, right in the middle of the city.
2. The photos on the website accurately reflected what you actually get.
3. The hotel had a beautiful, classic design with a charming historic atmosphere.
4. The room included a minibar.
Negative:
1. The hotel was not worth more than a 3–3.5-star rating.
2. The cleanliness was very disappointing. When we entered the room, there were still traces of feces around the base of the toilet from the previous guest. This was unacceptable and made us lose confidence in the hotel’s cleaning standards.
3. The bathroom was extremely small. The shower was right next to the toilet, and the shower door was only partially enclosed, so every time you took a shower, the entire bathroom floor and the area around the toilet became soaked.
4. We booked this hotel partly because it advertised air conditioning. However, although it is a 5-star hotel, the air conditioner barely blew any air and provided almost no cooling. We were very uncomfortable because of the heat.
5. The breakfast was very limited, with very few options. It was the most limited breakfast we have experienced at a 5-star hotel and was definitely not worth the price.
6. The hotel lacked facilities and amenities. Apart from one small restaurant/bar—which was also where breakfast was served—there were very few options available.

Great
While everything was very clean and well maintained, the room – and especially the bathroom – could benefit from some updating. That said, everything was fully functional and spotless. Room was also very quiet
Breakfast was excellent and served in the Queen’s Garden, with a good selection and very attentive staff. We also used the valet parking, which was a smooth and pleasant experience.
I would have no problem recommending this hotel if you, like us, are looking for a romantic getaway.

Historic hotel in central Aarhus
Cautions: 1) If you select the smallest room you will literally be able to sit on the toilet and take a shower at the same time. Not sure how sanitary this condition is. 2) Do NOT stay here in the summer, especially if there is a heat wave. There is NO A/C. They will provide a fan but it is not adequate.
