Excellent location, lovely comfortable room, upgraded by hotel and found the lounge a super amenity. Would recommend!

from the first that I checked in, until the very last moment, when I checked out, every contact and interaction with staff was an absolute pleasure. The people writing reviews don’t mention why the staff at fine hotels like this are so exceptional.
They are always focused on trying to help you, exuding friendly empathy, and appreciating what your issue is, and finding you a solution. Plus the Danish quality of sweetness to everything they do is a great pleasure to my Soul.
They do so with a smile, they look you straight in the eye , and then make your life easier. Imagine if you were surrounded with people like this, all your life, all the time. That’s when you would be a king! But not a president. I digress.
Here’s the things that I liked in particular - starting with the fact they got me a room with a view. You don’t understand how important that is since my mother was in that Townhall Square the night the war ended in 1945 - 81 years ago. It’s a sacred place. I picked up some ice cream around the corner and they got me a spoon at the front desk. The stopper in the tub was missing and I didn’t realize that until they actually sent someone up with me from the lobby to take a look. I know all these things might seem incidental to you, but they were very, very important to me and making me feel at home in my favorite country in the entire world. They also made me feel good about the limited Danish that I can speak which I learned as a boy and I am in my 60s now.

Good but wouldn’t stay here again

Nice located hotel, helpful staff, comfortable beds, but expensive and luck air conditioning so if you’re planning to come during summer you should look for alternatives one as the have cooling fan only.

The Square hotel is excellent in every way. Jamie at check-in and Joselyn's help with a restaurant were impeccable. The location is ideal. The complimentary drinks and snacks were much appreciated. The room was large, the bathroom well-appointed, the bed was very comfy and the balcony a nice bonus. For Copenhagen, it is VERY well priced. I highly recommend!!!

Convenient and touristy

Excellent location, close to the station and well served by public transport.
With the excuse of being "green," they don't clean your room or change your towels unless requested, and I don't know if there is an additional charge. Room with adequate space and a functional bathroom. Breakfast is good, but I have seen better at a 4-star hotel. Aseptic staff, typical of a tourist hotel: An upgrade or room change was refused (even though I have the membership card for the chain the hotel belongs to) because the one assigned was noisy. Also requested a wake-up call for the next morning, which was never received.
