Great Stay
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Monge. Staff were amazing, room comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was excellent and very good value. Would definitely choose Hotel Monge again.

Great Hotel
From the first time we arrived, we were greeted by a warm welcome from of the staff—Camille, and the other staff members made us feel welcome to our very first time in Paris. Camille was very helpful and gave us information on transportation, restaurants, places to go etc. We can’t express enough how helpful this was to us. The hotel room was very clean and the housekeeping was great. bed was very comfortable and room quiet. The location is convenient to many restaurants, walking distance to the metro, close to neighboring districts like Saint Germain etc.The massage was wonderful and the amenities like coffee and drinks was a nice plus. What really made us like the hotel it’s just it was cozy clean in the Staff just made it welcoming to us. We highly recommend Hotel Monge will certainly come back!!

Excellent experience
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, and it was a wonderful experience. The room was very nice and well-appointed, and they had thought of everything. The beds were extremely comfortable. The hotel is located in the heart of the wonderful Latin Quarter, and everything is within walking distance. Notre Dame is just a stone’s throw away, and a short walk takes you to Rue Mouffetard, which is lined with many traditional restaurants. The hotel staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Someone is always available to assist and provide great tips for things to do or restaurants to visit. We’ve been on many city trips, but this hotel was by far the best choice so far. If we come back to Paris, we’ll definitely stay at the Hotel Monge again.

A week at Hotel Monge: what a lovely hotel and neighborhood!
The classic Haussmann façade of Hotel Monge hides a secret: Arènes de Lutèce, a charming Roman arena enjoyed by the locals. It did not take me long to discover this secret from my view in room #501, where French windows open out over this ancient circle of sand. In the morning it is calm and quiet; in the afternoon kids play football and students read on the terraced seating. Hotel Monge has an elevator with a glass wall which seems to take you directly into the scene as you descend.
From the ground level you are torn between a leisurely breakfast in the library or a croissant from the boulangerie across the street. I chose to alternate during my stay. On days I chose the croissant, I took along a bottle of water or orange juice from the minibar.
From the hotel steps you have two options: turn right on Rue Monge for a gentle descent to Notre Dame or turn left to wander through medieval streets. When turning left, I like to climb the steps to Rue Rollin just diagonal from the hotel entrance and walk to Place de la Contrescarpe, continuing down Rue Mouffetard before turning left onto Rue Ortolan to return to the hotel. This neighborhood was familiar to both the American writer Ernest Hemingway and the French writer Victor Hugo, who wrote Les Misérables. They found literary inspiration in these streets and wrote about them.
I also love this neighborhood for its history and beauty, and Hotel Monge is my homebase to enjoy it. When you do want to see the famous sites of Paris, take the metro 7 from Place Monge, located just steps away. It has a direct line to Pont Neuf and The Louvre. When you want to spend the night in your room, peruse the books on the shelf behind your bed. I have stayed in two rooms, and both book collections included famous titles in elegant volumes. You might even find a Victor Hugo book, the French genius who saved the Roman Arena when he wrote that Paris, the city of the future, should not renounce its past.
On my last trip to Paris, I stayed a full week at Hotel Monge. Each time I returned from adventure, I received a friendly bonjour or bonsoir in the lobby. They were a very pleasant and helpful crew. I will gladly stay there again.

A Wonderful Boutique Hotel in the Heart of Paris
Hotel Monge is a truly special boutique hotel in the heart of the Latin Quarter on Paris’s Left Bank. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautifully appointed rooms, welcoming atmosphere, and—most of all—the exceptional staff.
The location is ideal. The Panthéon and Notre-Dame are easily walkable, and two Metro lines are within walking distance, making it easy to explore the city. Just a five-minute walk from the hotel, a charming staircase leads to a lively area filled with excellent cafés and restaurants.
A special thank you to Salome, the hotel manager, whose warmth and thoughtful recommendations made our stay even more memorable. She suggested the Musée Marmottan Monet, which was a wonderful discovery and a highlight of our visit, with its impressive collection of Monet paintings and other exhibits.
Hotel Monge combines Parisian charm, comfort, an excellent location, and genuinely outstanding hospitality. We felt welcomed throughout our stay and would return without hesitation. Highly recommended!
