nice old city, of course very touristic but beautiful any way. Not far is the Hochkönigsburg it is a castle like the Hohenzollern rebuild a little more than 100 years ago.
Lovely old town full of wine tasting 'caves', restaurants, year round Christmas shop.
My favorite little village in Alsace. Easily reached by the bus from Colmar or you can ask your hotel to pick you up. Just the right size for exploring. Many hotels and restaurants. Also has a history museum. Plenty of shops focussed on the bus tourists which flock to the town every afternoon. By evening you will pretty much have the town to youself. Someone I failed to work in the delicious wines. There are several top wineries here but do not overlook the tiny lesser known wineries which produce amazing wines in small quantities.
A city of fairytales. You can get there by taking the bus from the Colmar station (only passes twice a day). An unforgettable stay in one of those 15th century houses.
