Absolutely amazing
An exceptional stay from start to finish. Boutique Hotel Werdenfelserei truly exceeds expectations in every possible way.
The location is simply perfect—set alongside an idyllic little river that adds a sense of calm and charm to the entire experience. At the same time, the hotel is just a short, scenic walk through a beautiful park to the cozy town center, where you’ll find lovely shops and excellent restaurants. It strikes the ideal balance between tranquility and convenience.
The rooms are luxurious, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly comfortable, with great attention to detail and a warm, stylish atmosphere. Everything feels high-end yet welcoming.
One of the absolute highlights is the rooftop pool. Swimming there while enjoying the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains is an unforgettable experience—truly something special.
And then there’s the breakfast—simply outstanding. The selection is exceptionally extensive, offering high-quality, fresh products with something for every taste. It’s easily one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had.

Great cinema!
We stayed as a couple for an extended weekend in Werdenfelserei – and honestly: We are absolutely thrilled. For us, this hotel is clearly one of the most beautiful we have ever visited – here is really worth every single cent.
As soon as you arrive, you will notice that service, style and attention to detail come together at an exceptionally high level. Every employee is incredibly friendly, attentive and warm – and all the time. It is precisely this consistency that makes the difference.
An absolute highlight is the spa area:
The infinity pool overlooking the mountains is simply fantastic. There is also a 90° fin sauna and a 60° pine sauna, which are perfect for relaxing. We were particularly impressed by the large relaxation area with a huge window front, you lie there and look directly at the Alps, almost like in a panoramic painting. A small snack station completes everything perfectly.
The hotel is also at the top of the culinary list. The food is exceptionally good, a successful mix of regional cuisine and international influences. Breakfast is a real highlight: fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade smoothies and juices for self-pressing – all served quality and lovingly.
What really makes Werdenrockerei special are the many small details:
Drinking stations with fresh spring water throughout the house
Fragrant wooden blocks in the room that bring nature inside
A dog washing station outside
Perfect cleanliness in all areas
Also the garage is exceptional: free, very clean, partly designed with wood and with reserved parking spaces even here you can notice the high standard.
The location is also perfect: Located directly at the Michael Ende Spa Park, you are in the middle of the village in less than a minute, ideal for walks and explorations.
We’ve traveled a lot and seen a lot of hotels around the world – but this one is definitely one of our favorites.

Dreamy ambiance - passion & commitment are missing
Restaurant - great natural ambiance, food delicious, but menu too long with the same food offerings. The service has become increasingly worse over the last 3 years. It is certainly difficult to find good employees, but the attitude of being a convinced host could compensate for a lot. There is no warm welcome, only a routine greeting. Hardly are you seated when you are handed the menu without care. No interest in the guest - that is the feeling. You have to order drinks yourself, no interest in upselling. They would rather chat together at the register. A dessert is not offered, why would it be. Check, please - goodbye... certainly not again anytime soon. Too bad!

Exceptional hotel in Garmisch
Fantastic hotel to get to know Garmisch, go up to the Zugspitze, and see the surroundings.
As soon as you arrive at the hotel you perceive that it is worth every euro invested in the stay. From the details at the reception to the careful attention of the staff, not only of the restaurant but of the rest of the hotel, they make you realize that you are in a different place where you will feel at home... at least, that is how we came to feel.
The restaurant, although it has an extensive menu, did not stop being the same throughout the week that we were there, so once the main dishes were tried, there was no choice but to repeat.
We found the room magnificent, not only because of the decor and the drinking water fountain, but also because of the large windows with views of the Zugspitze.
It is relaxing and impressive at the same time that you can enjoy a heated pool with views of the Zugspitze and the rest of the mountains that surround Garmisch.
We will definitely return.

We travel a lot and this hotel is one of the best! Beautifully designed and with excellent amenities, great staff, food, rooftop pool with amazing views of the mountains - highly recommend.
