Incredible!
We have been home a week now after a week at Samaria Hotel, and without a doubt it was the best holiday my friend and I have ever had.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with comfortable rooms, an excellent breakfast, and a perfect location within walking distance of both the Old Town and the harbour. It was the ideal base for exploring Chania.
What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the incredible hospitality from the staff—especially Theodora.
From the moment we arrived, before we had even checked in, Theodora welcomed us with drinks and sat down to chat with us rather than simply checking us in from behind the reception desk. That small gesture immediately made us feel like valued guests instead of just another booking.
Throughout the week she always took the time to ask how our day had been, what we had bought when we returned from shopping, and what we were planning to do next. She recommended restaurants, beaches and excursions, wrote down places we should visit, and even helped us arrange activities. Her recommendation to book the Nerra Blue Cruises trip to Balos ended up being one of the highlights of our entire holiday.
Theodora made us feel welcome every single day and played a huge part in making our holiday so special.
Everyone we met at the hotel was friendly and professional, but she truly went above and beyond.
We left feeling as though we were saying goodbye to friends rather than checking out of a hotel.
Thank you to everyone at Samaria Hotel for an unforgettable stay. We usually like to try somewhere new each year, but this is one of the very few places we would happily return to without hesitation. We can't wait to come back to Chania, and when we do, we already know where we'll be staying.

Samaria Hotel in Chania, Crete
We stayed at the Samaria Hotel in Chania, Crete recently as an extension of our trip to Greece. I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay there. All the personnel were fantastic, many going above and beyond their duties to make our visit even more special. They helped us make a member of our group’s birthday celebration very special. Their customer service was outstanding.
Furthermore, the Samaria Hotel is located in downtown Chania. It is surrounded by shops and a very short walk to the harbor. We very much enjoyed our visit to Greece: the food and it’s culture, but especially it’s people. I highly recommend the Samaria Hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Amazing stay, staff with little care
Location: Ideally located, just a few steps from the old Venetian port and picturesque alleys, while being in a quiet street.
Chamber: Our room was modern, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The view from the balcony onto the snowy mountain was the icing on the cake.
Exceptional breakfast, homemade of extraordinary quality.
Restaurant and bar that does not denote with staff always knowing how to advise you.
Staff: A big thank you to the whole team for his kindness and valuable advice to visit the surroundings. They made our stay very special.

Apart from the late check-in ( way beyond the the expected time ) everything was decent.
