A lovely spot, good value and super helpful staff

A really excellent little place – a few hiccups, but in general a great option with lovely clean, simple rooms, helpful staff, efficient service (WhatsApp-ed owner asking for a corkscrew and two glasses; he appeared less than two mins later with both), with a fabulous terrace and in a wonderful location (if you don't mind a few stairs).
All down to recent reopening I suspect, but a few little things – showerhead didn't fit in the wall-mounted holder, so had to be held; though it's designed as a wet room, even a short shower leaves the whole bathroom under an inch or more of water; the night before we left, a fridge suddenly appeared in our room! Would have been great to have it from the start to keep water cold, etc.

Not worth the risk

I am extremely disappointed at this hosts behaviour. We had a terrible experience at this location (there is no sea view fyi…). It is listed as a non-smoking room and it is very obvious that someone had been chain smoking in the room. It was not clean, it stunk, our room was left unlocked before arriving with the keys placed on our bed for check in - in my eyes even if it is a safe place like Mykonos, I don’t believe this is appropriate guest check in protocol. Our room was changed due to a “leak” as the host informed us we got “upgraded” from our original room. This “upgrade” was to a room in the center of courtyard in the “resort” all our windows and doors opened to the courtyard leaving no sense of privacy when we had originally booked a private balcony. Due to this and the unbearable smoke smell we decided to find another accommodation. We informed the host that we were not happy and politely asked to be refunded. The host essentially implied we were CRAZY for feeling uneasy about the location, and lack of privacy that we were provided on top of the lack of cleanliness within the room. I am sure they will respond to this review in a poor manor as they have to every other negative review across their booking sites. I hope anyone looking to book in Mykonos is aware that this booking could go terribly wrong and cost you. I hope Rania apartments will improve upon their professionalism.

Beware different types of rooms under same name

We booked directly at property website Rania Apartments Sea View thinking we would get one of these lovely rooms. Instead we overpaid a nonrefundable 1* rustic room with doors that didn't fit/close, dirty stone floors, dimly lit bath, etc. Maybe they market modern upper part of property separately. It is there same place.
It did have chairs outside with nice view and good location.
Just beware what you book versus what you get.

Negative points: the equipment did not work at the start of the stay, we realized that the fuse on the circuit breaker was not raised.
Fridge that makes a lot of noise.
Power outage for one morning.
Positive points: Hotel very well located, the staff are lovely and very professional. We left in April so it was quiet. Good bedding
We had a good stay and we absolutely do not regret having booked this hotel. We took a room with 2 single beds, which was suitable because we were only there to sleep!
Very nice little terrace too.

Strategic location and comfort

A mini condominium with many accommodation options. It almost feels like being in a small village. The location is strategic because it is a 5-minute walk (downhill) from the heart of Khora and its nightlife.
I was accommodated in an economy room but I found it complete with every comfort: minibar, hairdryer, coat hanger, TV (never used), well-functioning AC, large and comfortable bed, bathroom with large shower.
Daily cleaning and discreet and kind staff.
