October with friends

October in budapest with friends, the hotel is pleasant, clean, close to metro and tram. Beautiful view of the Danube. Soundproofed and quiet rooms. Small but functional. Acceptable price
I would have given 5 but on the Third party day they did not change the linens of the room and consequently they did not clean the room.

Great stay for a few days

Holidays in mid-August

The hotel is located in Obuda, a very peripheral neighborhood, but still well connected to the city center, in a quarter of an hour with a train that takes you very close to the hotel. The hotel is not very well kept, the rooms are spartan with poor and dirty linen. The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired but considering that we only came back to sleep we closed our eyes and tolerated the situation. On the other hand, being surrounded by greenery, it was refreshing compared to the city center where one was dying of the heat. The breakfast was poor and above all salty. Considering the low price for August we were satisfied but I would not recommend it to friends or relatives.

Avoid this hotel.

We booked for seven nights but in the end lasted one night. Had we arrived earlier we would not have stayed that night. The room was hot, smelly and very dirty. Not only dust, but cobwebs and spiders. The carpet was not something to walk on in bare feet and the bathroom and shower the same. We thought things would look better in the morning but they weren't. Breakfast was basic and just about edible. There were no alternative rooms. A wooden floor one would be better. The staff said the manager was not in for two days and we could wait or go. We left and after 72hrs have not heard anything. I doubt we will. I would advise giving this place a wide berth. It is a shame they couldn't be bothered to talk to us.

Excellent for staying just outside of Budapest

Well served by the H5 train (within city limits, no upcharge), as well as city buses. It really saves you money to stay here, but will cost you about an extra half hour to get into the city. Room was clean, simply appointed. And, when staying there this winter, it was nice and toasty. Breakfast buffet was fine, but not fancy. If,like us, you want to spend a lot of time in both Budapest, Szentendre and northwards, then this is a good place to base yourself. I'd spend a couple days in a hotel closer to Budapest to start with, then move here after a few days when you're rested and thoroughly familiar with the wonderful local transit system. You can track all the pubic transit to this hotel on your Google maps, so you don't waste time getting to/from your hotel.
