Loved the red decor in our room! Quiet, perfect location, so close to vaporetto stop. Sister hotel had fantastic breakfast, the staff there were very attentive. Would stay there again even just for the location. Loved Dorsoduro area.

Here we hit rock bottom

One star is too many. This isn't about the beautiful and the not beautiful. Here the talk is related to the diseases you might contract in this place (I can't call it a hotel). The carpet with stains! The indecent bathroom! I took off the pillowcase and the pillow sucked. There was also a blood stain on the back. The room of terror paid 200 euros for one night!!!

There is better...

We stayed for 3 nights in room 205. From the description, it was not understood that the room was not inside the hotel, but in a building across the street, poorly maintained (perhaps an old hotel) completely deserted, with no staff present. The room was extremely small. Having traveled through various cities from north to south, this was the smallest room. (It didn't even have a mini-fridge, which I have always found). The television was present, but the remote control was not working (I assume it needs new batteries). Very basic cleaning service. Also, the breakfast was nothing special, served from sweet to savory, however, there is not a great selection. A discomfort is the queue, self-service mode, having to move along with the plate in a single file (this is due to the little space in front of the buffet table). The most unpleasant situation we had was the last night, the shower knob had broken and did not stop the water, continuing to flow. Unfortunately, there is no phone in the rooms to call the reception, we tried from our cell phone. After 20 minutes without anyone showing up, we had to go down and go to the hotel across the street (luckily it wasn't raining that night). The caretaker came, and after taking apart the handle, he said to leave it like that - open - since everything there was "old." Additionally, the toilet was clogged. On the morning of our departure, we notified them again of the problem, and upon our return to the room, the technicians were present and informed us that we had to change rooms, luckily we were leaving. Unfortunately, not having read the various reviews, I was not prepared for the conditions of the hotel. It is true that compared to other locations, Venice is more expensive, but being one of those cities worth visiting, I recommend spending a little more and choosing something more suitable. The only thing I recommend is the Dorsoduro area (Zattere) as it is located between two vaporetto stops (Zattere and Accademia), which is very convenient indeed. (For those who suffer from mosquitoes, I recommend a small stove; my companion did not sleep the first night )

Arrived to find bugs in the bed, shower and bathroom. One plug socket worked and it was in the bathroom.

Reasonable sized double room, however the bed and pillows were far too hard making sleep uncomfortable (sleeping against the wall would have been more comfortable as at least they were padded!). Don't book this hotel based on it having air conditioning, as this is (supposedly) only at certain times of the year and they wouldn't switch it on for a heatwave weekend in April when the rooms were >20 °C at night adding to the discomfort.

Very good location
