Weird location, but got an upgrade after complaining

I originally booked this stay, but it gave a weird vibe, since the entrance was from a narrow street and there was no receptionist at the entrance. The check-in is done at a different hotel, so this is basically an extention of the main location. Fortunately, for an extra 45 Euros fee I could swap the room to another location in Ca'Marcuola, as the original one had a shared bathroom. The room was nice at the top floor, and although the stairs were a bit steep and the balcony was not accessible from the room, as it was a window and not a balcony door, the overall stay was pleasant and very clean.

To be reconsidered given the excellent quality/price ratio

Very clean, quiet, with a comfortable bed. Convenient location for the city. I don't give a 5 because the external reception, especially when leaving, although close (but not very close) remains annoying. Our triple had a good level above what we expected in the 2 star category

Small hotel, good location, close to public transport

Good location close to the train and bus stations. Easy walking distance to St Marks Square.
The rooms are decorated in the Venetian style and they are clean.
Bathroom nice and newly decorated
Good shower, but unfortunately very poor quality toiletries.
No safe in the room.
No reception, check in process is at another hotel.
Kettle in the room. But no cups or tea/coffee.
No breakfast included for your stay.
Lots of noise from the other rooms and also from people using the front door.
I had a dodgy electrical socket in my room, when I unplugged my charger, the socket came out of the wall.

Classy, quirky and cheap

From the outside this looks like a place where Maigret would investigate the murder of a prostitute in a 1930s period drama. But this little reception less hotel is actually quite cool. Shared bathrooms are spotless. Rooms dated but classy. Check in at another hotel nearby. Everything in Venice is pricey but this is a characterful alternative,
