We were disappointed that the room was basic - no bathrobe, slippers, coffee or tea service, water bottles, etc. The location is what you pay for as it's next to the promenade and the Museo Botín. It was like some consulting firm advised them about all the small things they could strip from their service to improve profits. At €300/night we expected more.

The location of this place is A1 plus !! unbeatable is the unique word.
Garage in the property ( extra cost )
Now, the arrival process is tricky and confusing; the signage in the nearby is confusing and ill-placed. Even the desk employees recognize that as a huge challenge. Along with that, the construction in the perimeter makes it convoluted too. This is the only "staind" about the whole thing, but again, aside from this, I would stay there again, hands down. Btw, Santander is amazing !

We are not returning to the Hotel Bahía de Santander

We will not return... the third time's the charm... this is the third time we have gone to this hotel and we have decided not to return... the main reason: the attitude and policies of the reception staff. Breakfast and its staff don't help either. To be fair, the cleaning staff was very attentive and charming.
What bothered us was that after spending €500 at the hotel for two nights (in Santander), they denied us a place to change our clothes before starting our trip. What large hotel doesn't have a changing room nowadays so that its guests can change or even shower, especially in a city with a beach.
Furthermore, when we went to pick up our suitcases from the luggage storage, they gave us a dirty look. In addition, you can only access the services / bathrooms in the hotel lobby with an active room key so that no one (including guests who have checked out) can access the service. Where have you seen that in a large four-star hotel?!
Let them keep it up and then they complain that the clientele is going to tourist apartments!!!

Sentimos que s estancia no haya sido de su agrado. El acceso a los baños de la planta baja, efectivamente se realiza mediante una tarjeta, que NO es la tarjeta activa de la habitación, sino que es una tarjeta que facilitan nuestros compañeros de recepción o cafetería con el único ánimo de evitar el acceso indiscriminado de personas desde la calle y poder garantizar en todo momento el correcto mantenimiento de limpieza de dichos baños. La tarjeta se facilita a lis clientes de la cafetería y a todos los clientes alojados, o que han estado alojados la noche anterior.

Incredible hotel and area.

Spectacular hotel with dreamlike views, an unforgettable stay, worth repeating. The area is super central.
