Nice hotel in a great location. Reception staff were nice, I felt safe as a solo female traveller. Room was dated but very clean and comfortable. View was stunning!!!

Hotel Limmathof Zürich – Simple, Central and Great for a Short Stay
I stayed at Hotel Limmathof for one night while visiting Zurich, and it worked well as a straightforward, no-frills option in a very convenient location.
The biggest advantage of this hotel is how central it is. It’s less than a 5-minute walk from Zurich’s main train station, which makes it ideal if you’re arriving late, leaving early, or just want easy access to transport. It’s also within walking distance of the Old Town, shops, and restaurants, so you can explore the city without needing to rely on public transport.
The room itself was quite basic but clean and functional. It had everything needed for a short overnight stay, even if it didn’t feel particularly modern or luxurious. For me, that wasn’t an issue as I was only there for one night and mainly needed somewhere comfortable to sleep.
I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, so I can’t comment on the food, but there are plenty of cafés and bakeries nearby if you prefer to eat out.
I would recommend Hotel Limmathof if you’re looking for a budget-friendly, centrally located hotel in Zurich for a short stay. It’s not about luxury, but it offers convenience, cleanliness, and good access to everything you need in the city.

Staff was great, let us check in early after an 8 am landing into Zurich. Elevator in the smaller side but didn’t have to wait too long. Rooms were a little cramped and wish there were more fans. Also I know it’s out of their control but the construction across the street starting promptly at 7 am was a bit much

Primary reason for the rating is mostly out of their control. No AC and higher than average temps, but mitigation was poor with small fans and same prices as places with AC. Seemed to be AC in the halls so uncertain if no AC or AC not working.
