A 90-minute trip outside of Bangkok, the town of Amphawa is famous for its 'floating market' which happens on weekend afternoons. Less popular with international tourists than Damnoen Saduak (another floating market outside Bangkok, this one happening in the morning), it still gets mobbed with Thai tourists visiting from the capital. Despite the crowds, it's a great place for photography, with boats on the canals loaded up with colorful produce, and like virtually everywhere in Thailand, it's also a great place to sample fresh food from the streetside vendors.
