Went to Hershey in the winter to see the factory and do the tour. Tour was disappointing it is a ride targeted for kids complete with singing cows and all. IMO don't waste your time. The gift shop did have some rare versions of the candy which are probably hard to find anywhere else (think kit-kat Reese's combination) but that's about all this place had going for it. There is a theme park, but it was closed because it was winter so I can't really comment on it- it may make the trip worthwhile...
Great tourist destination with a terrific amusement park, some museums and a delightful downtown. Chocolate World is a must do. Beautiful scenery from the car museum too.
What makes Hershey fun to visit is the fact that chocolate pervades every inch of the town, not just the factory and theme park. The entire town smells like chocolate! The street lights are shaped like kisses! When you visit, bring your sweet tooth!
The town in Pennsylvania where Hersey's chocolates originate from and where you can still visit a Hersey choclate theme park.
