Hotels in Corfu

The glittering turquoise waters and white sands of Corfu are just a short flight away, and there’s a real variety of neighbourhoods on the island too. Whilst Corfu Town resembles everything old and traditional about Corfu (they even have siesta time between the hours of 3 and 5pm) Kavos stands at the other end of the scale, hardly ever sleeping. Every summer, young bright things flock to the resorts on the south of the island for socializing as well as sun, sea and sand.

Kerkyra (Corfu Town)

Instead of hopping from beach to beach, you’ll be strolling between museums, castles and cemeteries in Corfu Town. It’s perfect for culture vultures who like a spot of sunshine too. The 4 and 5 star hotels on the beachfront will give you the best view of the coast and easy access to the centre, but there are even more affordable options ten minutes outside of the town – excellently placed for exploring the greener side of Corfu!

Kavos

Kavos sits on the end of Corfu’s peninsula, hosting a variety of beach resorts, cheap hotels and lively bars for the holidaymakers who call it home each and every summer. Expect fun in the sun and a little bit more after dark in one of the many bars and clubs in Kavos, before sliding into one of the comfortable budget hotel rooms on the seafront.

Agios Stefanos

Agios Stefanos is tucked away on the northern coast of Corfu, reserved for those who are happy to make the long transfer from the airport – but it’s worth it. The hotels range from affordable country houses to boutique villas, and nights are spent meandering from tavern to taverna, looking for the best Greek wine you can find. There isn’t much to see here other than the coast and countryside, which makes it a wonderfully relaxing place to stay in Corfu.

Gouvia and Ypsos

The hotels and apartments in the coastal towns of Gouvia and Ypsos are perfect for families who need everything on their doorstep – the beach, the supermarket, and restaurants with child-friendly menus. You’re still close enough to Corfu Town to explore the sights, but far away enough to enjoy a bit of R&R on Corfu’s sun-bleached seaside.
