Just as good on our second visit

We stayed 10 days at the Almrausch, on half-board. The room was big, with a great view from the balcony. Breakfast had loads of cheeses, hams, cereals, boiled eggs, etc. Dinner 100m away at the Almhof, owned by the same family, was wonderful from the salad to the desserts, with real international cooking, superbly presented. All summer visitors in these resorts have the 'Stubai Super Card', with free access to the local buses, sports centre, cable-cars, etc - a real bargain. The hotel is family-friendly but also great for couples and parties. There is attention to detail; e.g. we arrived late, and a cold supper was waiting for us, and there is antique local furniture in the corridors.

Good value, friendly staff

Stayed for a ski weekend in early February after a recommendation from friends. Milders is a little distant from the buzz of Neustift, but that was a bonus for us. Our room was warm and the decor functional and clean. The bathroom (private toilet/shower - in our room) was a little small and quite tired, though everything worked well, so no complaints. The sauna in the Pension is excellent and there's also access to the Hotel Almhof's wellness facilities, but we didn't use them. We opted for half-board and both breakfast and dinner were good quality with plenty of choice and excellent value for money.

Quiet hotel. Excellent value for money.

Pension Almrausch is on a quiet side street, 100m from the bus stop in Milders, near Neustift. Our room had a balcony - they nearly all do - with mountain views. The room was clean and well-furnished. The tiny bathroom had very hot water. Breakfast had plenty of variety, and really good coffee. The Almrausch operates as an annexe to the upmarket Hotel Almhof, 100m up the road, where a 5-course dinner is served: salad (at least 20 kinds), soup, hors-d'oevre, main course (chosen from three options at breakfast), and dessert. Superb food for this price. Budget price, but certainly not a budget hotel.

Posizione tranquilla ma struttura obsoleta e cibo non all'altezza

Situato in posizione tranquilla e comoda, la struttura è un po' datata.
La camera per 4 persone che avevamo era angusta e il bagno non era confortevole: la vasca con doccia era sprovvista di tendina e tutte le volte che ci si faceva la doccia si allagava il bagno.
Abbiamo consumato le cene all'hotel Almhof, della stessa proprietà e situato a 50 mt, ma la qualità dei cibi era scadente: abbiamo trovato il menù povero e gli ingredienti di bassa qualità.
Nel complesso comunque la nostra vacanza è stata piacevole perchè la valle è molto bella

Zweckmäßig & gemütlich

Eine nette Pension mit geräumigen & sauberen Zimmern. Wer auf modernes Design steht, wird hier nicht fündig werden. Für Urlauber, denen die zweckmäßige Ausstattung im 70er Jahre Stil nichts ausmacht, ist es hier perfekt: Große Zimmer, alle mit Balkon und Blick auf die umliegende Berge, eine schnuckelige Sauna zur Erholung nach dem Skifahren und ein heller, großer Aufenthaltsraum, in dem auch das leckere, regionale Frühstück serviert wird. Das (wohlgemerkt: 5-gängige!!!!) Abendessen gibt es ca. 100 m weiter im dazugehörigen Hotel Almhof. Das Abendessen gehört mit zu den leckersten, frischesten österreichischen Menüs, die ich je probiert habe!!! Ein ganz großes Lob an den Koch!!! Wir sind inzwischen schon "Wiederholungstäter" in der Pension Almrausch und planen schon den nächsten Urlaub hier...
