Mallorca is the bigger island than Menorca. The ferry from Barcelona stopped here one night in Mallorca and then we continued to Ibiza.

No visit to Mallorca is complete without a trip to the capital Palma. You can get a bus from the bus station just behind the square or go on a guided tour by booking with one of the trip organisers on the seafront. "No Frills" offers a choice of Palma trips.

Only got a day to explore, but the architecture of the cathedral is amazing with all of the yachts and beaches outside. Such brilliant views. One thing that I found was a huge shopping centre that I thought was quite small outside, but then had like 2-3 layers underground which was a pleasant surprise! Anyways, I'd happily come back here for a proper holiday.

Palma is an amazing city with new and exciting views around every corner. The cathedral is breathtaking, especially being right near the sea. The old town is charming and small enough to explore if you are limited on time. The hotels, hostels, and other places to stay are affordable to cheap. The people are friendly and inviting. The public transportation is great and cheap (meaning you don't need a car if you come here). The food is wonderful and very inexpensive. The beaches right outside of town are enchanting; the water sparkles, is cool (not cold), and a mix of different colors. And the olives are some of the best in the world!

The least expensive month is November, with an average of €115 per night. The most expensive month to stay in Palma is August, with an average price of €213 per night.
