Hotel well placed and friendly

Very nice hotel located on a small hill overlooking the port. Very nice view from the terrace of the room. And excellent location, 10 minutes walk from the historic center of Mindelo. The welcome is smiling, the full breakfast and the pool, rather a swimming pool, well maintained and pleasant. Unfortunately, but it is only temporary, there is a building under construction next to the hotel, which, at the moment, brings some noise nuisance during the day, but frankly, just for the view, this hotel deserves us to support them.

Nice establishment away from the city center.
Catering is good and varied, but waiting time is important “No stress”.

A great hotel

Very well located, clean and pleasant. Staff smiling, helpful and helpful quality. A Hotel that I highly recommend. Thanks to the staff for their quality of service and being authentic.

Good position comfortable. Don’t anticipate a view

Well positioned between the beach, main downtown and the ferry terminal. All easily walkable.
Room was comfortable. The legendary view is absent from first floor rooms (it’s mainly a lemon tree and a wall). Possibly second floor rooms get above the neighbors roof.
Staff are brilliant. Helpful, pleasant, had good ideas for places to listen to music/eat out.
Breakfast ok. Dining room pleasant. With the heat of the country, the pool was amazing at the end of the day

Total disappointment for the panoramic appartment

We spent 2400€ for an 8 days stay in this hotel, for 3 people. It's a lot of money and it was supposed to be the highlight of our trip to Cabo Verde. The main reason why we chose this apartment was the view and the private swimming pool.
The view is beautiful, but the swimming pool was unusable most of the time : very dirty, with yellow stains on the walls and more and more cloudy. In a word, disgusting.
The problem is we asked for the cleaning of the pool or repair of the filtering system like every day. And each day it was supposed to be solved, a person was supposed to get there and solve the problem. And each time nobody showed up. The problem was solved only the day before we left !
We asked for a refund, but the only offer we got was not to pay the laundry, which was a neglectible refund in comparison with what we paid for this hotel. We asked to complain to the owner, but the owner was unreachable, in another country, ill, etc. The management took my email and said that they would get in touch with us after we left, which of course never happened.
I could mention also other problems, less serious but that still show that this hotel is overpriced : one day the water pressure was so low it was impossible to shower. It took more than one day to solve the problem !
So my advice is : do not choose this hotel. It's the price of a luxury hotel, but certainly not the service of a luxury hotel.
