Cairo would be here. It's cheap, but it's great.

I stayed on the first day of Egypt and also on the last day. It is a hotel that makes you want to come back. The bed, toilet and shower, front desk are beautiful and the view at front desk is great.
It was one woman, but there was no need to worry about it in the mixed dormitory.
The staff were kind and Migo remembered me when I came back on the last day.
I will be here again when I come to Cairo.

This I hostel is amazing for a budget stay: location is great (walking distance from tahrir square, metro is in the heart of Cairo. There are multiple supermarkets and stores nearby, the view is nice, speciay from the balcony of the communal room. The staff are really friendly, room was clean and tidy.
Breakfast at the hostel was oriental (fool, falafel, salad, scrambled eggs and jam), very filling.
One of the staff (his nickname is Manga) was very nice even after checking out he offered to make me a tea. Highly recommend.

Better not far

I didn't choose this hotel. I had booked the Hola Cairo Boutique, from the same owner, who moved me into it, much less well, without asking my opinion. Meramees Hostel is very well located, but quite seedy. In February, I got a little cold. Cleanliness, comfort and decor are to be improved. Good traditional breakfast.
