Sacred location in village st Parix
Very close to Paris downtown about 40 minutes drive
Weekend could tough as it has nothing in vicinity, unless you are driving your car
Classic hotel with all modern amenities
Very humble and helpful owners

small-town charm at the gates of Paris

This picturesque village is an unexpected piece of rural France just a stone's throw from Paris; walk up the hill to the cemetery behind the church and you have an expansive view stretching from Sacré Coeur to the Eiffel Tower! My nautically decorated room was furnished with a standard French bed (rather firm), a very comfortable lounge chair, and a desk. There were some cobwebs in the corners, the ventilation grills were dusty, and I observed a little bug making its way across the bathroom floor--nothing that bothered me, but fastidious folks beware... The air in the room seemed rather stale (ground floor built on a steep slope, with some wooden air-freshening sticks), but the window (overlooking sidewalk) could be opened (there was also A/C for summer). Excellent breakfast, friendly service, cozy decor in the dining room. Unfortunately my schedule didn't permit me to have dinner here. Ample free parking behind the church.

restful haven

The hosts Fredrique and Yves are very caring and relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble and it was a wonderful place to relax before the long trip home. Being on the outskirts of Paris with a view from the street of the Eiffel Tower and only 30 minutes by car from CDG airport it is a perfect place to unwind. Sipping delicious organic champagne on the terrace. Perfect!

Perfect place to stay if visiting Paris by car

If you plan to see Paris with your own car, this is a perfect retreat to get “home to”
after a long day. We stayed for 3 nights. Totally relaxed, clean air, peaceful, great food, fantastic wines and service 2nd to none. You will soon feel like home and have a great sleep. Plan with 30 to 50 minutes to reach the center of Paris. Much better for your mental state than a crappy hotel near Gare du Nord. And you will pay the same.

No Restaurant on a Sunday

We booked this hotel through the Logis de France site as this one of their hotels. The site showed a hotel with a good standard of restaurant and there was nothing to indicate that the restaurant had no service. Indeed when we booked we made it entirely clear that we would expect to have dinner! We also said we were travelling with a dog...the site said they accepted dogs in rooms and in restaurant.
The next thing we noticed was that a charge for the room had already been made even before we arrived.
Then we get an e-mail telling us that the restaurant was closed on that (Sunday) night but our dog was welcome. An Italian restaurant was recommended 1.5 km walk away. No indication whether they accepted dogs though.
When we arrived there was no one present in the hotel. a key had been left in the door to the room we booked. That was the extent of the reception. So much for being in the hospitality industry!
The room (Safari) was Okay. The bathroom was a bit tired and the bath took ages to fill. It sounded as though the bath plug was not functioning properly. Electric socket for razor only worked when the light was on. Towels were clean but lacking in thickness and softness.
The other feature to be aware of the the distance to the train lines. Much is made of the location of the hotel for the RER C line. The station for the RER C line (Ermont Eubonne) is 4.3 km walk. This sort of information falls into the sort of information Ryanair are often ridiculed for.
There is not a snowballs chance in hell I will ever come back here. Nothing about it is remarkable only in a negative sense. To me the service is lacking, the hospitaility non-existent and the information on they website wholly inadequate and misleading.
