The Ruby Luna Hotel is exceptional.

Fantastic experience. Super location. 12th floor room, no noise, very comfortable bed, spacious room and skyline views. Lobby area gorgeous, fast spacious lifts and loved the coffee. But most of all the staff were great. Professional, friendly, excellent English. Highly recommend this hotel and I will be back. Also, next door to this hotel is a brilliant Turkish restaurant called Bona ' me.. couldn't fault it.

Hey Mary,
Thanks so much for the lovely review.
We’re delighted you had such an easy, feel‑good stay with us at Ruby Luna. Hearing that the room was peaceful and comfy, the skyline views hit the spot, and the lifts kept things flowing is exactly what we hope for. The lobby is our little living room, so it’s great to know you felt at home there — and that the coffee did its job.
Your kind words for our team mean a lot. That warm, professional care is what we’re all about, and we’ll make sure everyone hears your praise. Nice shout‑out for our neighbours too; the area’s food scene is part of the fun of staying here.
We’d love to welcome you back whenever you’re next in town.

Very hot

We checked in on June 23rd for a two night stay. Our room was extremely hot and we were sweating nonstop. I spoke to two gentleman at the reception Alex and Matthew and Matthew looked at how hot the room was. Besides, there were stains on the bed cover and curtain. The bathroom was not clean as well. I was left with no choice but to leave and go for a hotel that does have a working AC. I was told i would be contacted by the reservation team for a refund, however, I haven’t heard anything back.

Hey Muhib,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your stay didn’t work out as planned.
We understand how frustrating it is to arrive and feel uncomfortable in your room, especially during warmer days. After speaking with our team and reviewing the details of your stay, we can confirm that you initially stayed in room 1004 and later approached our hosts regarding the temperature. As requested, our team offered you an alternative corner room, which was shown to you before the move. During the room inspection, the room was found to be clean, properly prepared, and free of any unusual odours, and we understood that you were happy to accept the change.
That said, we appreciate that the room move may not have fully addressed your concerns, and we’re sorry that the overall experience didn’t meet your expectations. Our team’s goal was to find a comfortable alternative for you, so it’s disappointing to hear that this wasn’t enough to turn the situation around.
Regarding the refund, we understand why you were expecting a follow-up after your conversation with the team. Having looked into the case again, it seems there may have been a misunderstanding around the next steps. As your stay continued after the room move, no refund was approved. We’re sorry if this wasn’t communicated clearly at the time, as we can appreciate how this may have led to different expectations.
Thanks again for bringing this to us. We’d like the chance to welcome you back to Ruby Luna for a stay that feels easy and cool from the start.

Awful hot rooms, unsleepable

***NOT AIR CONDITIONED - DO NOT STAY HERE DURING SPRING/SUMMER***
Currently staying at the Ruby Luna Hotel, room 612.
Im here for business for 2 nights, thankfully not doing a full week and if I was here on holiday I'd be so angry because it would make every day awful.
Hotels have 1 job, provide a comfortable room to sleep in. It can be rubbish at everything else, you probably don't spend a lot of time in the room apart from sleep. So when a hotel fails to provide a comfortable sleep it becomes useless.
My experience so far:
Check-in: Self check-in was easy and simple.
Hiotel/General: Signage is awful.
On the ground floor there are 3 lifts, you'll miss the 3rd as it's set back around the side of the other lifts.
When you get to your floor and exit the lift there is no signage directing you where to go.
As it was night when I arrived i tried opening a full height window to the outside! I couldn't see anything outside because it was just reflecting everything inside. Thankfully it was locked or I would have walked straight out of a 6th floor window.
I go back to the lift and again, set back in an alcove and looking like a fire exit with no signage.
You go through that door, you're met with another door, again no signage.
You go through that door and you're in a little glass oven where you scan your room card.
You go through the glass oven and you're now on a corridor with a T junction, at last, some signage!
I'm 612...
Go back to the glass oven to see if I took a wrong turn somewhere and realise I can use the Escape and Rescue Floorplan. See that my room is down the 606 - 607 corridor, they just failed on the only signage they actually providing.
Room: Open my room, there is a card already in the activation slot, lights and aircon on already on...
If was 28c in Dusseldorf today, currently around 25c at 23:00, the room has some strange air conditioning control that is either +3c or -3c, doesn't say what it's actually doing but thats your only options.
The a/c unit in the wall is doing something but it's so weak its probably generating more heat than cooling.
If you stand directly in front of it it is definitely cooler air than the rest of the room, so if you can sleep stood up in front of it or fit yourself on the small window sill you might get a good night's sleep.
Assuming they "pre-cooled" the room for 2hours before I arrived, I feel like it was probably longer as check-in is at 15:00, it's now been on for 4hours, it's definitely cooler than the corridor and the glass oven but it's still an awful hot room.
Also, if you change the fan settings to High it reverts back to Auto (Low) after an hour...
Music: The small Marshall speaker works, there are no instructions on how to pair a Bluetooth device but you just press and hold the pair button and it will enter pairing mode.
The big Marshall speaker requires a phone with a 3.5mm jack. The info tag on the label says you can borrow a guitar from the bar.
Minibar: No mini-bar, they probably decided that it's best not to add anymore heat to these rooms when the can't cool them properly. Having no mini-fridge means you can't keep drinks or chocolate cold in the room.
Wardrobe: room for 50 pieces of clothing, 3 shirt hangers, 3 pants hangers provided.
TV: The TV has no wireless connectivity options
You can reach 1 of the HDMI ports and the Source on the remote isn't locked down so you can use it.
Rest of the remote is locked down.
TV Guide doesn't load correctly.
Conclusion: I've read other people's reviews on here with the same complaints about how hot the rooms are. The staff couldn't do anything, they changed rooms and obviously nothing changed.
I imagine the Staff have training specifically on this "If a customer complains, pretend to try and change the settings on the control panel, obviously that's not going to anything but that's 1 night down, then change their room that's another night down or the customer won't bother changing rooms and then it's not our fault, etc.etc."
It's not fair on the staff that they have to deal with the fallout of a management decision.
Maybe this hotel is good in the winter or autumn but I doubt it.

Hey Andrew,
thanks for taking the time to share such a detailed feedback. It’s good to hear the self check‑in felt smooth. That’s very much the idea with our Lean Luxury approach: quick arrival, everything where you need it, and hosts nearby if anything gets awkward.
Nevertheless, we’re sorry your stay hasn’t felt comfortable so far, especially with the warm weather. Restful nights are central to the Ruby Luna experience, and we never like to hear that the room felt too warm to relax.
Our rooms are fitted with a high‑quality air‑conditioning system intended to keep the air fresh and the temperature balanced. If something isn’t behaving as expected, our hosts are on hand around the clock to help on the spot, from checking the settings to making practical adjustments so the room cools more effectively. However, we really regret that, despite our best efforts on site, we couldn't improve the situation to a level that allowed you to fully relax and enjoy a restful night's sleep. We completely understand how disappointing that must have been.
On the in‑room setup: we keep spaces streamlined by design. As part of our Lean Luxury philosophy we don’t place minibars in the rooms, which also keeps heat sources down, but we’ve got a bar which is open day and night for cold refreshments. If you’re travelling with more kit or prefer extra breathing room, our larger categories offer more space and added comfort. For entertainment, the TV allows wired connections, and the portable Marshall amp pairs via Bluetooth; we’ll take your feedback on clarity of instructions on board.
Your note on signage is also helpful. Wayfinding should feel intuitive from the lift to the door, so it’s disappointing that it felt confusing when you arrived late. We want those first moments after a long day to be effortless, not a maze.
We hope you'll give us another chance to provide you with a better experience in the future.
Your Ruby Luna Team

This was by far the worst hotel experience I have had in many years. The overall service level, hotel procedures, and room conditions were completely unacceptable and far below any reasonable expectations for a hotel stay.
The check-in process was handled through a self-service terminal at the reception desk. It was unnecessarily complicated, extremely frustrating, and involved an absurd number of questions and steps. Both my spouse and I were forced to complete the exact same lengthy procedures separately. The staff was barely helpful and provided very little assistance during the process. To make matters worse, the room keys had to be activated through yet another separate system by ourselves, making the entire arrival experience confusing and highly unprofessional.
What was especially shocking was that guests were apparently expected to somehow realize that daily room cleaning and towel replacement had to be specifically requested in advance. As a result, we spent three days without any room cleaning or fresh towels. After I complained, I was simply given a drink voucher instead of having the actual problem resolved. No cleaning service was arranged.
The most unacceptable issue, however, was the completely defective air conditioning. The room temperature remained around 28–30°C throughout our stay, making it nearly impossible to sleep. A technician came to inspect the system and openly stated that nothing could be done about it.
