It is a cozy and friendly place!!!
The location is fantastic and the staff very friendly and helpful, always available and has taken care of minor problems immediately!
The rooms were very comfortable, well equipped and clean. The rooms highly recommended.
The hotel is great located. Good parking possibility! The hotel has a lot of charm and is very nicely decorated with small details.

Kindness to appearance.
The hotel is old. Furnishings not really of this time. But if you can see through that then it's a very good hotel. People are super friendly. Very very clean and a fantastic breakfast. Location ideal for roads to sights and nature. Set against a forest edge. Look through the dark entrance and meet the kindness.

Good value, basic facility
The hotel is situated at the edge of the forest literally one minute walk from the start of a few trails. The room is small and old, the bed is very basic. Breakfast buffet had a dissent selection of cold-cuts, jam, eggs and bread. Bear in mind that Echlschied is a very small village, and after dark there is only one restaurant/bar and they close the kitchen at 20:00. To summarize, if you are nature enthusiast, this is a good starting point for nice walks, otherwise, skip.

Fabulous
After a bad experience at a Serways hotel on the motorway ended up here by absolute chance. Completely fell on our feet. Such a friendly welcome, lovely place and great value. The hotel is cycle and motorcycle friendly. Thank you the Landhotel , Westerwald for a lovely stay.

TERRIFIC value!!
This is only a 2 star hotel but it feels like much more. The room was only 66 Euro for a double (39 for a single) & was very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning (5 Euro per person) not only had the obligatory German cheese & brotchen & meat but also cereal, yogurt, eggs (between soft & hard boiled), bananas, coffee, juice. The coffee was actually brewed vs that machine stuff that you get a lot of places these days. The hotel backs up to the forest so is very quiet. All the rooms had balconies so you had a great view as well. We arrived at almost midnight & it wasn't open. We rang the night bell & no on answered. But once we called the phone # posted, she immediately came & checked us in. However this could be a problem if you don't have a European sim card for your phone. There was plenty of free parking in the back & there was free wifi. We only spent a night on our way to somewhere else but it was obvious that this was a place the Germans go on vacation.
