Our favorite hotel in Kiel. Comfortable and stylish rooms, many with views of the Kiel Fjord, a top-floor restaurant serving excellent food with breathtaking views, and an outstanding breakfast restaurant on the ground floor. The location is superb, right on the waterfront, next to a shopping mall, and just a short walk from the pedestrian shopping streets.
We were offered an upgrade to a suite for an additional €50 and gladly accepted. The suite we were given was absolutely fantastic, featuring a dining table for six, a comfortable seating area with a sofa and armchair, an enormous balcony with spectacular views over both Kiel and the fjord, a separate bedroom divided by a sliding door, and two bathrooms.
A truly exceptional hotel experience.

Centrally located, clean hotel

Positive:
Very centrally located to the main train station and the Kais.
Very nice, rich breakfast, clean, quiet room.
Critical:
View of the bus station, broken elevators, long wait times at check-in (many tour groups during Kiel Week)
Price/performance ratio not appropriate.

Für die Wartezeiten, weil zwei von drei Aufzügen defekt waren, entschuldigen wir uns, insbesondere auch im Namen der mit der Wartung beauftragten Firma Kone. Diesbezüglich werden wir in eine kritische Nachbesprechung gehen.

Perfect location for a 1-night stopover in Kiel between the train and the ferry en route to Sweden from the Netherlands. The hotel is directly opposite the main train station and just 10 minutes' walk from the Stena Line terminal at Schwedenkai.
Very friendly and helpful staff, a lovely big room and breakfast served until after noon (because it was a Sunday). Highly recommended all round.
