Remote location, cozy and warm, privacy and excellent breakfast

Very nice and cozy hotel. There is a spacious bath room. The room is cozy, clean, quite, and warm.
The breakfast is really good, a big variety, good for meat lovers and vegetarians, warm omelet and sausages, cold meat and fish, home-made jams, diary products, fresh fruits, vegetables and even a tomato juice.
To get to Bad Homburg there are buses near the hotel. There is also all you can eat Asian bouffe restaurant 2 bus stops away from hotel. Restaurant has neat and fresh food.

There are other ways to be dog-friendly, but not like this!!!

Dog-friendly is different!!!
When I call to request a room, I always ask if dogs are welcome. The answer is "yes".
As part of a 50th birthday, we spent one night in Oberstedten at the Hotel Beuss on the recommendation of our hostess (most of the rooms were occupied by birthday guests!).
After I gave Mr. Beuss my cell phone number, a very upset Mrs. Beuss called: no dog is allowed to stay alone in the room! I should come back immediately and take the dogs with me! I should bring the dogs home - it's only about 80 km one way! Finally, we were asked to check every 1-2 hours to see if everything was OK. Yes, of course we have liability insurance for each dog, but Mrs. B. didn't want to know anything about that, saying that if the dogs destroy the room so much that it can't be rented out forever...
After breakfast we were happy to pay the €45 (€15/dog) that was required, which Mrs. B. didn't want to accept without contact at first, but then happily accepted. Meanwhile, Mrs. B. continued to get upset and act like a fury - she would never have allowed 3 dogs, etc. ...
While we were packing up our things, the door to the room suddenly opened: Mrs. B. was standing in the doorway with a member of staff - without knocking first! Luckily we have very well-behaved and friendly dogs!
As the owner of a small pack of dogs, I feel discriminated against compared to dog owners with one dog.
In any case, our dogs didn't destroy anything or cause trouble, as Mrs. B. feared!
There are other ways to be dog-friendly, but not like this!!!
We therefore absolutely cannot recommend this hotel to dog owners!!!

Reservation not as booked

We had booked two rooms with kitchenette. However, on reaching there we were given rooms without kitchenette.
Only upon insisting they agreed to give one room with kitchenette.
The kitchenette was for name sake only. - No utensils.

if thermic comfort = zero, then comfort is zero

Rooms don't look bad, but they don't have an ironing, sewing kit, etc. -hell they don't even have shower gel. TV channels selection is poor. Breakfast would have been nice if the manager wouldn't have been creeping around all the time starting all dialogues by shouting at me from behind. Scary.
Now for the worst part: I FROZE. I was there for four nights at the beginning of autumn, and they did not turn the heating unit on, even though I asked twice.
As a family managed small hotel keeping the bills to a minimum seems to be the motto. That makes them cheap and extremely customer unfriendly. Geizhälser.

Daumen hoch

Deshalb: Daumen hoch...
