Amazing stay at Marble House

The location was amazing, walking distance from all the major sites. The host was very friendly and kind. They gave us great food and restaurant recommendation. The room was clean and cozy. Overall we had an amazing stay and we highly recommend to everyone!!

Excellent first stay in Greece

Christo and staff were very friendly and kept the boutique hotel spotless. We were able to walk to all the major archeological sites. We are from a city were we are use to walking. There was minimum nighttime noise due to the location on a dead end street. The price was in our budget and the little patio and table in the lobby were perfect for our picnics.

Pleasant budget hotel, helpful staff

Recently I enjoyed five nights’ stay at the enjoyable Marble House Hotel. My nights were broken up over two periods, during one of which they only had certain rooms available, so I got to experience 3 different rooms. The rooms are clean and cutely decorated. It’s located about a seven minute walk from the Syntagma Fix metro stop, which is one station away from the Acropolis stop. Staff at the front desk, available until seven p.m., were always gracious, helpful, and spoke English well. They helped me to arrange two early-morning taxis. As the hotel notes, there is no elevator, so you will have to carry your luggage up and down the stairs. Though it doesn’t serve breakfast, there are some great cafes a stone’s throw away and the neighborhood has interesting, artistic shops to explore. There is a nice reception area with indoor and outdoor space to sit andeat your own food. The cul-de-sac is quiet, although you can sometimes hear people opening and closing doors in the hallway. The interior ground floor room that I had was a bit drab and airless, but I had it only when I arrived late and left early. Electrical outlets are limited and guests should bring their own USB and voltage converters. Overall, very good hotel experience.

This place is the best.

We loved the Marble House! We had the apartment for 4 nights--it was a lovely spot away from teh crowds and incredibly quiet for being in the middle of a busy city. the hotel is on a pretty dead end street so almost no traffic. We loved the neighborhood restaurants and walked to the Parthenon every day. I would return to the Marble House anytime.
