One of the best places I have ever stayed
This place is beautifully located in the old village of Kitta on the Mani Peninsula. Mani is plain spectacular, wild, hilly, beautiful views of the sea and most of all the architecture maintained with ols stone houses and towers.
Two of these towers form the core of this hotel, which carefully restored and offers all comfort and amenities. The best part are the owners and hosts, Tanya and Elias. They made us feel so welcomed. Staying at Citta dei Nicliani was more than being invited into their home with all the warmth friends can offer than being in a hotel. The breakfast was fantastic and our dinner was so well prepared. Kitta is the ideal starting point to explore the southern tip of Mani, which happens to be the most southern part of mainland Greece! It os very close to Geromilinas were one can find nice restaurants overlooking the harbor. We are very happy we stayed there.

Fabulous building, oozing Greek hospitality
Wonderful building, fabulous hotel where you’re not just a guest, you’re made to feel part of the family. The environment oozes warmth and you feel immersed in greek tradition. The food is fantastic.

Never again
Bad owner, claustrophobic room that should be the largest of the structure... too bad that the square footage includes a mezzanine above the bathroom... totally unlivable, dusty, dark, warm, the main light of the room comes from a window that makes much prison of the 800. Photos of Mussolini and Hitler in the room. I expressed my disappointment to the owner who did not even respond. I had to stay three nights, after the first I left the facility. No regrets from the owners. Obscene.

A unique place in the deep Mani
We have stayed here each year for 11 years and love it. It is different and quirky with a mix of ancient and new renovated to create a comfortable impression of the old tower dwellings of the area, with modern additions of aircon, USB charge points and TVs and fridges. The owners are rightly proud of their hotel which was a family endeavour.
Breakfast is a feast, adapted to your dietary needs, with a huge collection of teas from around the caves. Dinner is a treat sitting on the terrace as the sun sets.
The owners offer information abouts walks, beaches and villages to visit to get the best from this unique area.
The owners are well travelled and having experienced many cultures, share their experiences within the service they offer and stories they share. Many clients return again and again,like us, I need not say anything more!

A Maniot Paradise
We have just had 2 wonderful nights staying at this atmospheric hotel, savouring the warm hospitality of Tanya and Elias, who now feel like old friends. We had a spacious room with a dear little balcony with views over the hills and a large private terrace at the rear. Elias gave us lots of ideas for how to spend our days and then cooked sumptuous breakfasts and dinners for us. We also enjoyed the company of other guests including an English family who return every year to stay here. We especially loved the peaceful village location, which apart from having a well stocked little supermarket, felt quite isolated just like the Mani itself. We wish we could have stayed longer.
