Would definitely spend time there again

We stayed at this Hostel one night and it was really good. The rooms were well air conditioned and super clean. The lockers were big enough to fit a pack. The kitchen was spotless. Only the fact that the showers were not separate I did not like so much. There were cabins. These were only for showering , so the changing was not possible unobserved.

Don’t give it the benefit of the doubt it was truly terrible and does not deserve a 1 star rating.

Wanting to start off our holiday in a lovely way however it all went south at panda hostel, when booking panda hostel we already knew it wouldn’t be amazing and our standards were already quite low from the previous reviews … not THIS LOW. When reading the requirements it was noted that there would be “freshly clean bedding” as soon as we walked in, there was a stain on the bed sheets, only one working light in the bathroom, cabinet draw was broken, no hand wash - do you think this is acceptable especially after a pandemic ?
On top of this at check in we were given two out of three ‘working’ key cards to let us in and out of the building - the key cards didn’t work meaning if no one was in reception there would of been no way to enter or leave.
Furthermore, in 35 degree heat there was no air conditioning all what was given was a fan on top of the light which caused the light to flicker. The window would not open and the fan was blowing hot air around making this impossible to sleep.
When returning from a day out we went into the accommodation thinking that our previous roommate (who was a similar age range) would be in the room, we walked in and saw a much older man sleeping in the bed with no warning. As a group of 3 young vulnerable girls we felt instantly uncomfortable… when discussing this with the manager and the receptionist they said “if anything happens we will kick him out” if something was to happen surely it would be too late ?
After feeling shaken up from that surprise we booked a hotel nearby. When arriving to that hotel we were most excited and relieved to walk in and see these necessities:
clean sheets
Towels
And …. HANDWASH!

Cheap place to stay

The hostel was very close to a tube station, and gives a decent budget option to stay in Milan.
The rooms were quite small, and there is not that much room in them. The showers and toilets are a short walk from the room, it is not an en-suite.

Panda/Koala Hostel

-We love to party: ear plugs might be useful' is the first lie told in the booking confirmation.
They wouldn't know what 'party' meant if it jumped up and bit them! Whilst the rest of Milan starts partying at 11.30pm the hostel stops at 10pm. Despite the fact the owner can argue with patrons, the patron screaming the place down in spectacular fashion, we are not allowed to breath too loud after 10pm. Second lie; 24hr bar...........it's a common room that you can get a drink in, but only if you sit in silence after 10pm otherwise the bar will close. Note: the lights are switched off when the bar closes you then have 3 choices; 1. Sit in silence in the dark being careful not to breath too loud. 2. Go to bed, quietly. 3. Go out and party until 5am like all the sane Milanese do - but don't make a sound when you come back. There is a guitar on the wall of the common room but do not, under any circumstances, play it. It is simply a decoration. Also, the bar is not self-service, you have to ring the bell, even if staff see you waiting you will not be served until the bell is rung - if you want coffee it's worth the wait.
Breakfast: standard uninspired fair for a hostel; toast, cereal and breakfast-cake things but!, There is only one 2 slice toaster which is the slowest in the world so expect other guests to complain at you for taking too long using the aforementioned toaster because they are hungrier then you and, clearly, it's your fault the toaster is so slow to do its singular job.
The room; is fine, it's clean, the showers are hot and we felt safe with lockers available to store valuables. When getting ready to go out and party at an actual 24hr bar we could really have done with a full height mirror.
Final point; if you find yourself getting cold in bed and in need of a 'partner' for the night some of the staff are all too willing, this is a free of charge service
Overall; it was an experience...........!

Horrible service

I couldn't use the accomodation, because they denied my bank card many times, I didn't understand the problem, because I use my card many times. I called them, they told me, everything is ok, next day they cancelled my reservation. I called them again, I wrote email-s because I wanted to solve the problem, I beged them to keep my reservation, I offered the payment through bank tarnsfer, they didn't accept it, finally I called my bank and I got the information that the hostel use wrong cvc code because they use the datas like the data of a credit card, I tried to explain them that this is a debit card, they told me they can accept only credit card and if I don't have, I have to search another accomodation. What's this? They don't need my money, if I don't have credit card??? They didn't want to help to solve the problem but I offered very solution.
