Stayed at the Olympic Hotel Amsterdam from July 8–13 and had a really pleasant experience overall. The hotel is well kept and clean throughout, and it's about a 10-minute walk to the tram, which gets you into the Centraal area easily. There's an Albert Heijn supermarket right near the tram stop for snacks and drinks, plus several restaurants along the strip nearby.
Breakfast was a highlight great spread every morning and the staff were consistently helpful and polite. The gym was a pleasant surprise too, well-equipped and more than enough for a solid workout. Room views were beautiful at night and peaceful during the day.
A couple of minor downsides: the elevator wait got frustrating during peak times, and the pillows weren't the best (though the bed itself was comfortable).
Overall, a clean, well-located hotel with friendly staff — would recommend, especially if you don't mind a short walk to tram.

A good hotel with quality service slightly away from the city center but well connected
The hotel is nicely located with a great view of the Olympic stadium and a canal. It is close to Ijsbaanpad tram station from where Tram no 24 would take one to the major sights within 10-15 minutes. The staff was extremely courteous. The breakfast option was quite good. We enjoyed the hot tub on the second floor. The room service menu is slightly sparse. The room is spacious. Our stay was comfortable.

A nice venue-specific hotel in Amsterdam Zuid near the Olympic Stadium and Frans Otten Stadiom
We stayed at the Olympic Hotel for five nights as a family. One of my children was participating in a tournament at the Frans Otten Stadiom nearby, and this was the tournament hotel. We reserved a family room for four, which had two twin beds put together for my wife and I, and a bunk bed for the kids. The room was “efficient,” ie. quite tight for the four of us, but worked well. We had a great view of the Olympic Stadium from the 8th floor in Tower A.
The hotel was at capacity for the weekend, due to both the sports tournament, as well as De Amsterdamse Zomer, which we did not realize was happening at the same time at the Olympic Stadium just to the north. Despite being at capacity, our stay was quite reasonable. The morning buffet breakfast that was included in our room rate was very good, with hot entrees, a large cold selection, cereals, and three beverage stations (one cold, two hot. The restaurant has a small outdoor patio along the canal that we sat along for drinks one of our evenings.
Our only complaint would be with the elevators. There were only three elevators servicing the A Tower, and the staff did not have their own service elevator to take laundry to and from floors in the afternoon. I got my cardio once by going up to our 8th floor room via the stairs.

Quiet and comfortable full service hotel with amazing views when you select a corner room
Stayed for 4 nights at the end of June 2026. The hotel is very comfortable and has a great breakfast. The air conditioning works very good, which was important for us during the recent heat wave. I highly recommend a corner room on an upper floor for the amazing panoramic view. Transit options (both tram and metro) are a short walk. The staff are efficient and friendly, especially in the restaurant and bar. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace watching the canal boats cruise by.

Perfect.!
Flawless stay.! Fabulous friendly staff, room was perfect, breakfast was great spread, food and drinks were delicious and good value.
We stayed during a huge lightning storm and some younger people stayed in reception while it was really bad they’d been at a nearby concert. the staff were beyond busy at the bar etc and dealt with it fantastically.
If it had a plunge pool it would be perfect.
We used the hot tub which was fine but plunge pool would be far better.
We have already said when we go back with our kids this is where we are staying.
