Location Location Location... and Service
Wow. This place is great.
Last time I came to Oslob I stayed half a mile away from the whale sharks in a similar standard room and that was it.
This time I found accommodation and service located almost directly across the road from the whalesharks. Kent got us in early, took us through the registration and then we went back to our room to wait our turn. (The previous trip I spent hours in a que.) After the swim we came back and breakfast at the Audrea Coastal Bar was almost ready for us. Kent also booked our ride on the new ferry direct to Siquijor. The whole process from check-in to swim to departure was seamless.
These are great people providing excellent service, in the perfect location, all on a backpacker budget.
I highly recommend them.

Staff did not say hello or welcome us politely upon arrival, but did let us check in about 20 minutes early. Later in the day, we returned to the "shack", and noticed there was no hand soap in the bathroom, we asked for the WiFi password, and asked for the remote control to the television. We were then given some confusing excuse that the TV did not work due to compilcations due to the COVID lock down (which as we all know happened about 3 years ago at this point). The story about the unavailability of the TV became the sticking point in the minds of the couple running the hostel. When we tried to reassure the woman that we were disapointed about the TV, but were willing to go without, for some inexplicable reason she pressed the issue and began asking for forgiveness and walked away, only to come back to our room two more times, knocking heavily, insisting on speaking with us on the issue again! My wife asked her to stop disturbing us which she seemed reluctant to do. Finally, my wife felt uneasy after our interaction with the woman and insisted we find another hotel due to the uprofessional behaviour of the couple running the place and the unavailability of hostel staff. I regret leaving this negative review, but honestly do not understand why our experience is so different compared to other reviews here. The husband told me, that if we were not happy, to go ahead and complain to Expedia. I cannot recommend this place. Avoid at all costs, not worth the price or convenience.

You only have access to one toilet /shower for a room of 8. It gets quite busy since we're all there for the same reason at the same time. The lookers are quite small, I hate to store my bag under my bed. No towels are provided, there's no soap, bath soap, shampoo or anything. This is just a bed for the night and nothing more. 2 stars bc the staff were amazing and free water. And the bed were comfortable.

Booked this for a whaleshark dive. Just across the street from the shore with all the dive shops and boats. I stayed in a private room with an ok bed, AC, private shower and WC, closet.
It's just by the road, which means noise from the traffic. But here's the kicker, the AC noise drowned all other noises and me personally, I have easier to sleep with with a constant humming than honking, mopeds end trucks at random.
