Good hotel.

A four star hotel that is badly lacking in proper maintenance, because the hotel itself is quite fine, but the rooms need to be renovated as they have not been adequately cared for.
The staff is great, friendly and helpful.
Very good breakfast.
The gym is poor, but the spa is pretty good.
It has a parking area in which there is almost always room.
The bad thing is that it is very far from the center of Gijón. You need a car to get around.

Doesn't deserve the 4 stars it owns

Right now on Google
4-star hotel that does not deserve them for its antiquated facilities.
We were this May bridge, the weather got worse and they had no heating because they had already activated the air conditioning and since the installation is old either they put heating or air conditioning but not both explained us, so we went cold. The reception staff provided us with a small heater and more blankets but being a 2 room junior suite did not get to heat everything even putting the towel radiator in the bathroom, in the end we chose to put the heater in the children's room and close the door so that at least they were not cold. They should improve this facility because it is not normal in a hotel of this category that you go cold or hot, it is something basic.
The Spa had several jets that did not work, they should also fix them as there are longer reviews that say the same thing so it is not a one-off.
The massages were great, I do recommend them and the massage therapists of the Spa lovely.
The breakfast buffet quite poor, they could put more variety/quantity.
The hours of the bar are very limited, until 23:30 and being so isolated there is nothing more to do there.
The parking place very bad because being next to the municipal golf course all players park there without being housed, they should regulate that since they park up to the access road and hinder the passage in some cases, even using the pedestrian path of the hotel as a parking area.
The only thing that stands out about this hotel is its great staff, very attentive and pleasant, both the reception staff, Spa, bar and cleaning.
But with what you pay per room they could well fix all the deficiencies that this hotel presents, it would not come back for all these failures, it is not worth what you pay.

Fatal experience

We went to the spa as a family, impossible to be. The temperature rises, we went to the time you could be with children, one of whom could not stay more than 10 minutes due to the exaggerated water temperature, the closed ball pool. Very loud.
On the way out we told the reception lady that we were leaving earlier for the reasons I said earlier , the answer was that we should have gone out to warn ....logically I think there must be a control and be the maintenance team who goes looking at those things.
There are 2 showers , which only have a knob to regulate the water so if there are two people have to shower with the same temperature or enter one at a time having two showers.
In short a fatal experience.

With maintenance it would be much better

Optimum water temperature, variety of jets, but several not working. Jacuzzi area also not operational. Lack of absolute maintenance. Information from the receptionist null and void. Small and poorly functional wardrobe. The area is beautiful, but the truth is that I have been a little disappointed by the spa.

NOT WITH IMSERSO

We traveled with IMSERSO as another November review and I agree with almost everything it says.
The best: The hotel is in a beautiful location, in the middle of a municipal golf course but with nothing else around. The room in (our case) comfortable, but not compatible with the four stars.
The worst: The shameless discrimination that comes with Social Tourism. A different breakfast for the others staying even in separate dining rooms, the worst coffee impossible, rooms all attic (it seems that there were others with the normal ceiling but occupied, although no one was seen apart from the group of INMSERSO), menu without possibility to choose anything.
Anyway, I've never felt my money was worth so little, considering that hotels like this might not survive if it weren't for us.
Gentlemen, if you don't care what the concert pays you, don't take it. Survive with your first-rate guests
Del Spa and the gym I can't have a say since I didn't use it. Only the price I found expensive seen the spa.
