Highly recommended. Both the hostel and the restaurant
In the restaurant we had a royal dinner. A varied menu with homemade dishes, all delicious.
But without a doubt the best of all has been the attention of the owners. Both Jorge and his wife are charming, and so is his son, who served us at dinner. As one of my colleagues said, "like we were family."
We will be back.

Perfect and simple
The bed was very comfortable, there is a little commune kitchen you can use for simple sandwich making or breakfast.
We had all we needed, it is simple but very clean and the owner is friendly. The location is very practical, because the bus station for some of the hikes is just 5 min away, you can find all restaurants etc in the small town.

A great base for the Spanish Pyrenees
This lady happened to be part of the family that owns Refugio Lucien Briet and coincidentially it was her who picked up the phone when I called the week before. We were taken to the Bar La Brech, that is part of the whole property and after taking our names and details, a gentleman (the lady's son) took us to our room. At this time of the year, Torla and Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park are almost empty with few locals and some adventurous travelers (like us!) around.
Due to us being the only guests, we were allow to take any room we wanted, additionally we were offer a daily breakfast for a really reasonable price and the gentleman gave us a comprehensive introduction to the town and all it has to offer.
Lucien Briet was clean, tranquil and cosy. All the facilities (showers, toilets, heating...) were fully functional and being in the heart of Torla makes it a perfect base for day walks aroud this beautiful region of Spain. If planning a visit to the Pyrenees, look no further, visit Torla, stay at Refugio Lucien Briet and enjoy its ambient and hospitality and don't dare going back to your home town without trying the home made Pacharan and Aguardiente (litterally, burning water!). Totally worth it!!

Fantastic and charming hotel / Refugio
The staff, the owners family did everything tonmake us cfortablecand at home. We arrived without a reservation and they found us a suitable room. The rooms are simple and private and there is also
A Refugio with bunks in shared rooms.
We are vegetarian (a challenge in Spain) and they really went out of their way to find good alternatives since we were eating there for breakfast and supper. The food was some of the best at Refugio and small hotels of our Pyrenees stay.
Definitely would recommend it to hikers and travelers looking for a small simple friendly family style accommodation.
Very good location
