Let down by a poor breakfast and attention to detail.

Nicely located in a quiet area of Glasgow, a few minutes walk from the nearest railway station. There is parking available, however it can be busy due to the restaurant.
Go to the restaurant to check in, not through the hotel entrance.
The staff are really friendly, polite and attentive.
There is little atmosphere as the hotel appears deserted most of the day. It is quite dark as few lights are left on.
The rooms are clean, comfortable, tidy and nicely decorated. There is little outside noise, however outside lighting does illuminate the rooms a bit if you face the car park. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided, just don't expect your biscuits to be replaced.
The restaurant food is exceptional, however the breakfast is seriously disappointing, with little choice and no hot option. Reviews on other sites have picked up on this and it must be having an effect on bookings.
Overall this is a nice hotel, let down by a poor breakfast and attention to detail, for example loose light fittings and cleaning equipment left in public areas. Outside looks untidy, a damaged hotel sign, uncut grass, visible bins, and the general condition of the car park let it down.
You get the impression that the restaurant is the main focus and the hotel is an afterthought.
Sort out the breakfast and the overall appearance of the establishment and you have five stars.
I would likely stay here again.

Too bad for the shower

Nice large room and very good bed
As always upstairs without elevator
Tastefully furnished
Very quiet and very clean
Small parking lot
But the room needs maintenance too bad left a little out of date
Take a shower before the Service starts because otherwise you will not have hot water.

Return Visit Required!

Booked this hotel for 1 night last weekend. Wasn't our first choice but so glad we ended up here. The room was immaculate, great big room and fab shower. Breakfast was basic but for the price we paid it didn't really matter. Shops, bars and restaurants within 10 mins walk but you need look no further than Efes restaurant underneath hotel. Amazing! The staff were so lovely. We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed for another night. Will definitely go back.

Overnight stay

I am staying overnight at this hotel and have just met with family for a meal in the restaurant, the service and food are second to none. Give this place a try the menu is varied and well worth the money. I will be back

Excellent

Great place. Newly renovated. Restaurant and the breakfast is also delicious too. Will definitely be there again soon.
