Petrol stations near Bydgoszcz Airport
Depending on your car rental agreement, you may need to hand your car back with a full tank.
Luckily there is a Polski Koncern Naftowy Orlen petrol station located in the airport grounds just a 2 minute drive from the airport terminal. Head east on Paderewskiego towards Droga Pozarowa, keeping left, and then merge onto Aleja Jana Pawla/DK5. The petrol station will be on the right hand side.

Bydgoszcz Airport is well connected to the region’s main roads. Many national roads lead to Bydgoszcz. Main are DK 10, DK 25, DK 80. Two important roads run through Bydgoszcz: national 25 and national road no. 10. The first one assures convenient connection with Wrocław, Poznań, and the airport in Bydgoszcz. The other one links Bydgoszcz with Piła and Szczecin, and in the opposite direction – just like the national road no. 80 – with Toruń.

Poznan is just under a two hour drive from Bydgoszcz Airport. Get on to the DK25 towards Poznan taking a right on to the DW246. From there get on to the DW253 then the DW251 and finally following signs for the E261S5 to Poznan.
This beautiful forgotten place is well worth visiting. Some do so to see its mighty medieval city walls that hark back to the golden era and protect an array of glorious churches, cobbled streets and cosy cafes within its protective embrace. Others come for a more moving reason; to see the site of a once former Nazi concentration camp that lay hidden from the world in the surrounding forest.
Chelmno is just under an hour’s drive from Bydgoszcz Airport. Get on to the DK5 from the airport, then the S5 and finally the DW240 following signs to Chelmno.
This musical town nestled on the banks of the River Brda has a beautiful and historic old town whose market square is filled with stalls, museums and pavement cafes. 15th century churches overlook lush green parks while it botanic gardens offer even more of a chance to relax by babbling brooks or under ancient chestnut trees. There is a zoo and amusement park for younger visitors while everyone will love the array of festivals Bydgoszcz puts on from film and music to art and cinematography. The Music District is home to the fabulous Polish Theatres, the Philharmonic Orchestra House and some delicious restaurants.
Bydgoszcz is just 10 minutes by car from the airport. Head east then merge on to the DK5. Take the 2 exit and stay on the DK25. Take the second exit on to Bernardynska and follow the signs to the centre.
The centre of Bydgoszcz is a paid parking zone costing 3.00 PLN (Zone A) and 1.50 PLN (Zone B) per hour. These charges apply from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5pm and on Saturdays between 8am to 2pm. Some hotels in Bydgoszcz offer free car parking.
