Where to hire a car at Miami International Airport

Fort Lauderdale is just 40 minutes by car from Miami International Airport. Get on the FL112 from the airport, take exit 2 and get on the I-95 Express. Take exit 27 for Fort Lauderdale and follow the signs for the centre.

It takes less than 20 minutes by car to reach Miami from the airport. Take the FL836 E from the airport, merge into the I-95 lane and take exit 2C for Miami. Follow signs for the city centre.
Parking in Miami is not only hard to find, but can also be expensive. The average rate in downtown Miami is $7.00 per hour. To park for 24 hours at a lot or garage, you will have to pay between $28.00 and $30.00. Monthly parking, is better value at $110 per month. On-street parking is charged from 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and costs between $0.75 to $1.50 per hour. Some hotels in Miami also offer free parking.
